1. We can afford to lose one, only one of the close races
It may have to be Ford's race.

Tennessee rejected Al Gore in 2000, so I don't trust that state.

2. You are exactly right - maybe next time for Ford. But the repukes
have GOT to steal another now.

3. Uhh, what are you counting Loserman as?? SInce he's getting so
much Repug money and support, it's looking more and more like he needs to realistically be put in the "R" column. :-(

Such an asshole he is.

4. Ha, You're right - got him in the Dems - At least hopefully
he might vote for some needed domestic initiative like healthcare.

5. That's from 10/29
When will we know what the numbers are after the Kerry fiasco? That will give us a better idea of where we're going.

Right now the best thing we can do is hit the streets and the phone lines and start convincing voters to support Dem candidates and try to undo the damage of the last 24 hours.

6. I didn't even hear about the "Kerry fiasco" until last night.
...and I'm a news junkie.

I seriously doubt that a remark by one senator is going to affect the whole election.

9. You know, even if he was lying, what's so bad about saying
you may get stuck in Iraq? I think even the servicemen there have figured that out. The last survey I saw showed 70% of them didn't even understand the mission.

I'm just trying to think of who Kerry would upset? He's not even running for anything.

He certainly does always seem to get it wrong (his demeanor/words). He has a great mind and a great heart - he just can't seem to get the presentation right.

7. How many of the toss-ups, or the ones we're expected to lose...
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 10:49 AM by IanDB1
would go to Republickers not expected to finish their terms without being indicted or otherwise forced to resign?

on edit

I think Howard Dean should assign less money to races where the Republicker is expected to be indicted soon after the election.

And he should announce that this is his strategy: "We're going to spend less money on races where the Republican challenger is likely to be indicted before the end of his term, in states where Special Elections are held to replace them. That is why we're withdrawing some of our money from Candidate X."

11. You know, I was really hoping for some more red meat out of
the Abramoff investigation. I mean supposedly, his trial/sentencing is delayed (no pun intended) because he is cooperating.

Man, wouldn't it be great to indict someone this week. Take everyone's mind off Kerry.
