NEVER RETREAT from the TRUTH
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 12:08 PM by renegade000
Never retreat from the Truth. Never.

Perhaps we can all debate what Kerry exactly meant. But to me, and to most others that observed the full context of Kerry's speech, it is clear that he was discussing Bush, and not demeaning the military.

Just like the demagogic smears against Jim Webb, quotes taken out of context can be scandalous, shocking, and infuriating.
The entire world may rail and bluster against you, the power of the pundits to persuade infinitely greater than your own. Yet, in the end,
a falsehood will always be defeated by the Truth. It may take months, it may take years. Only now is the American public waking up to the sad truths about Iraq and the Republican administration.

It does not matter how dire the situation, how grim the consequences, do not shirk from your duty to uphold what you know to be true--else you have already lost.

Do not equivocate, do not yield one inch.

If our defense of the Truth is so weak ...we will forever be doomed to be defeated by the liars and prevaricators that stand against us.

3. Best thing I've read about this so far.
I'm tired of people kowtowing to the right. They define us because we won't stand up to them. They are making the Kerry thing something it isn't and many here say we need to go along with the game. The right knows how many of us lack the "balls" to stand up to them. Many DUers lack the "balls" to stand up to them.

5. Thanks
Considering the sheer volume of posts regarding the Kerry issue, that means a lot.

I think my thread advertising is a bit poor, perhaps I should use lots of CAPS, exclamation points, and profanity? lol
Maybe that will get more views.
