Like spaghetti, it gains more flavor when you let the sauce simmer. This "story" will have more flavor if it simmers. Some believe it will help the Republicans. I do not think so. However, that is just my opinion. I do believe there are some people who should apologize - especially those that have intentionally jumped on this story and deliberately used it the reflect poorly upon John Kerry and the Democrats in general. They know what they are doing.
If we cannot stand by the truth, if we fold every time the media and the radicals say "Boo!', then i personally question whether our Party has the courage or conviction to lead this nation. When was the last time you heard the Republicans "apologize"? Even Mark Foley blamed his problems on someone else. The Republicans never admit they are wrong and they never apologize. Why are the Democrats so different in this respect?

2. Is this about the ridiculous Kerry flap? |
|
I'm getting online to see that Kerry's remarks have been way overblown by another Republican shit smear. Unreal. Kerry did not insult the troops, although he could have mentioned that the reason many people sign up for military service is to be able to afford college. Even so, the phony outrage has been so over-the-top that I think it may help the Dems.

The easiest way to distract from the real story is to demand that someone apologize.

4. Kentuck, you get it. You can't talk forever about the "troops" without mentioning |
|
--The shitty equipment, the worn out weapons, the shortage of ammo, the second-rate body armor, the lack of helmet liners that CHER...yes, CHER...set up a charity to fund!
--The repeated redeployment of personnel, again and again, many wounded several times, many with PTSD.
--The lowest goddamn pay raise for servicemembers in over a dozen years--disgraceful.
--The low quality of accessions, with more CAT IV recruits as a percentage of the total force than we have EVER seen, save perhaps the Macnamara's Morons fiasco.
And that's before we even GET to the prosecution of the war effort. I mean, really...how DO you spell
F-I-A-S-C-O ???

6. Republicans are motivated by ideology |
|
According to their ideology they cannot be wrong, even if events seem to indicate error. There are some Democrats who are similarly motivated, but not nearly as many. Bryant Check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com
