Tony "snowjob" on CNN now digging himself a hole...
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 12:21 PM by TankLV
On the Kerry - non-issue...

Just weasling and spinning and LYING away as usual...

Gotta give the press credit today - like a pit bull on their hypocricy...

Making comparisons between limpballs pass and bush*s pass on limpballs, and other repuke scandals, and tony snowjob continues to insist on why Kerry won't apologize - the press won't bite this time!!!

Thanks to Harold Ford and other repuke mole asswipes who give the repuke fodder for there "but other DEMOCRATS are even saying Kerry should apologize!"

Fucking assholes, all of 'em...

and as all of you here know my posts, I'm hardly an enthusiastic Kerry supporter here...

This just makes my blood boil when these so-called democratic turncoats do damage to our party...

3. Right now
It doesn't matter. The "liberal" media is all over this. George Allen's stormtroopers are out assaulting people, while John Kerry is poorly wording jokes (it was poorly worded, but anyone who believes Kerry would insult the military a week before an election is too stupid to live). In my view, Allen's thugs are much bigger news than anything Kerry has said, but you can't tell by looking it any of the major websites. Kerry's face is plastered all over the place. The media is in a frenzy trying to get control back for their corporate masters.

This whole thing sucks. If it wasn't Kerry, it would have been someone else. The media are trying desperately to get these races back to some sort of competitive level, and it is appallingly glaring. If I hear the phrase "liberal media" even once in the next week, I may throttle the fool who utters it.

4. Once Americans make up their minds, they are quite obstinate
I don't see this tactic working for the Republicans. The only people who are going to become inflamed by this are the 30 percenters who wouldvote for a Republican anyways. I'm not worried about this in the least.

7. The one good thing is that this happened now
and not two weeks ago, but my frustration is with the media. Even if this doesn't affect a single vote, the media are still out there whoring themselves for all to see. It's disgraceful.

11. You may not be worried. I am.
I've mentioned this before, but I'll go through this again. My husband is a fairly conservative Republican, and so through him, I have a fair number of reasonably conservative friends and acquantainces. I tend to get a different view of things through them than I think many people do here at DU.

At this point, I am not at all willing to call this election. The only result that would actually surprise me would be the GOP gaining seats in either house. But other than that, I can (and at various times have) see any other result, from a solid sweep of both houses on our part, to a narrow win of the House but loss of the Senate, to gaining seats but not control of both houses. Please don't get complacent about this election. Despite everything that is going against them, the GOP is working very hard, and has a good get out the vote effort going on.

Anyway, to my point... With the race as hard to predict as it is at the moment, any little thing can either hurt or help us. I think that Sen. Kerry's comments, sadly, are in the former category - they will hurt us. It may only be a little bit, as I hope, but any little bit is bad.

Less than a week, and then we'll see. Oh, and should anyone be curious, I will say that, at least for the conservatives I know, there is not a lot of confidence in this election. They are hoping to limit the damage to their party, and aren't even hoping for anything better. So that, at least, is in the good news category ;-)

But still, don't take it easy...

R. Garrett

13. Ask them how they will limit over 2,000 soldiers dead because they voted for REPUBS?

15. Worry is my middle name. I still don't see this swaying enough votes
to make a significant difference. It's pretty obvious to everybody (including the soldiers in question) that Bush is shamelessly using the troops, once again, for political purposes. If the soldiers are insulted, they should be insulted by Bush's shameless and continuous use of them for his political agenda as he is the one insulting their intelligence with his transparent rhetoric. If I were still a soldier in the Army, I would be disgusted by Bush, not Kerry. However, considering the fact that the soldeirs are being denied access to opposing points ov view by their commanders, it's little surprise that they might fall for this and continue to support the man who has failed them so miserably in this war.

12. All this is showing is that Republicans don't do well at "getting"
jokes....rather they are either dense or humorless...
