Looks drunk...what else is new though. Talking again about only stupid people laugh at Bush is dumb jokes because they are stupid themselves.

3. He started listing words that
....I really can't tell you where he was going with this. He started talking about the Torries in Britian and somehow got to queer and ni**er. Funniest part is Matthews gave the his views are not shared by NBC line at the end of the interview.

13. Well, a GOP operative would claim he was saying the Brit word for underpants
in the singular....You know, KNICKER!!!!!

You know how it is, you're in the dressing room, but you've left yer drawers on the bench outside. What to do? Stick your arm outside the curtain, and bellow:

Knicker, please!!!!!

16. No, no......... WE'RE the stupid ones because we laugh..........
at jokes about bush being so stupid. See? Jokes about bush being stupid are NOT to be laughed at, that merely shows OUR stupidity if we do.
Of course, jokes about an emotionally deranged, condescending Englishman who hasn't drawn a sober breath in the past 3 decades are ALWAYS in fashion so, have at it! ;)

9. Why is he still allowed on TV?
For real, why does he continue to get invitations to issue drunken rants & sneers on national TV? Him & Bob Novak, banish them both.

12. It's not a word...
That is in the Scotch-Garglers lexicon. Apology, I mean.

I reckon he has five years left alive. Tops, the way he hits it.

14. The last time he was on Maher's show
(Real Time on HBO) he gave the audience the finger. He was close to incoherent that night and his ramblings about "staying the course" in Iraq were not well received. Due to his negative crowd reception, he became increasingly hostile and flipped off the audience.
I can remember when he wasn't a mumbling drunk.
It's sad.

18. He lost his mind when he started going after Mother Theresa
He used to write good articles, even if I didn't always agree with him. He then wrote a series of articles for Vanity Fair attacking Mother Theresa and her charity because some of the people who gave her money were not very nice people. Nobody really wanted to hear that about someone who was considered a living saint during her life, and will undoubtedly be cannonized at some point in the near future.

For anyone who didn't know, Tom Wolfe totally lampooned him in "Bonfire Of The Vanities", as a drunk, tabloid-style reporter. Bruce Willis played the character in the movie, which was not half as good as the novel.

19. I liked the book "Bonfire of the Vanities"
but didn't make it through the movie when it was on cable. The casting was off and what little I saw didn't capture the book's wild ride. I didn't realize the journalist character was based on Hitchens. That's funny. Thanks for the insight, Noonwitch.
