Cheney says U.S. is lucky Kerry lost

Cheney says U.S. is lucky Kerry lost

FLATHEAD, Mont., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Vice President Dick Cheney Wednesday told a Montana audience the United States is lucky Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., lost the 2004 presidential race.

Cheney told supporters in Flathead, Mont., that Kerry's remarks to students at Pasadena City College in California Monday constituted a "swipe at the U.S. military."

Kerry said he flubbed a joke about President Bush when he warned students to study hard and be smart -- or they "might get stuck in Iraq."

Cheney recalled Kerry last year accused U.S. soldiers of "terrorizing" children in Iraq. He said the senator is always lecturing about "nuances," adding Kerry apparently is "the one who needs to be educated."

"Aren't we lucky he lost that (the 2004) election?" Cheney quipped.

The vice president said Democrats have lost their perspective concerning the nature of the enemy we face. Cheney praised U.S. troops, stating the "all-volunteer force represents the very best of this country."

27. So what?
Even if that were true, it doesn't explain why they're going so overboard on this right now. Kerry isn't even running. It must be a sign of desperation.

28. It IS a sign of desperation.
And they are desperately trying to convince themselves and their drones that Kerry "lost" the election. It's a classic example of the oft-repeated lie becoming truthiness. Or something.

Anyway, they're obsessed with this because they're obsessed with convincing everyone that ALL their lies are facts. They are desperate because they're way behind in the polls that they don't pay any attention to. they're desperate because if they lose on November 8th, BIG legal problems are quite probably coming their way.

It's ALL DESPERATION ALL THE TIME. And it's not much of a plan.

and the whole WORLD is so unlucky that he won the vice presidency and is able to control so much. Lots of people have died directly or indirectly because of him; no one died because of Kerry.

What a bastard he is, and I hope that after 2008 he's finished and no one ever has to hear of him again, unless it's to hear that he's been put in jail (well, one can dream).

Is the GOP in such bad shape that they're poised to lose House seats even there?

Or is it just the case that people hate him so much except in the reddest of areas that he can only do damage elsewhere?

50. they did the same in 2004 elections
they only send him to red areas with the audience made up of their base. the purpose of these events is not to gain additional voters by having him appear as it would actually turn undecideds or non partisans off to him. but more to get the base to get out and work hard to win the elections through fundraising, campaigning , etc.

I consider your *five* deferments to avoid service in Vietnam and your pushing of a pointless war in Iraq on bullshit grounds that has killed thousands of Americans for no reason, a much bigger "swipe" against the U.S. military than anything war hero and lifelong vets supporter John Kerry could ever do!
