Tweety On MSNBC: "What Is It With Dems?" (good stuff!) |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 04:03 PM by stopbush
"What is it with Dems that they always seem to pull away in the final weeks? It looks like the R challenger has a chance, and then the D pulls away and wins big. Is it the operation on the ground?"
He was speaking of Menendez pulling away from Kean in NJ.

1. I hope Menendez can pull it off |
|
Kean's ads have been rough, and it looked like he was closing in.

16. I Live in New Jersey . . . . . |
|
and I have complete confidence that Menendez will win.
Kean's ads are a load of shit plus Menendez has been very successful with his ads linking Kean, Jr. to Chimpy.

14. I don't feel that it changed... |
|
the meaning of my post. "Dems have no plan" is so widely used by Bush & Co. that it should be obvious that my unquoted usage was merely snark. Sorry if I was too subtle. (snark)

4. what is interesting is the opposite effect is taking place in Tennessee |
|
while New Jersey seems to be mobilized
Also, Webb seems to be pulling ahead also, and Missouri is definitely in play

Is it Nov. 8?
Look - that CNN poll was an outlier. No other poll, including both Corker and Ford's internal polling, is showing that Corker is that far ahead. There are many things wrong with that poll - including, but not limited to - how it was conducted.
That said, I know it's a hard road to hoe, but, damnit, Candy Crowley hasn't sung yet, so I'm not throwing in the towel!

11. just watch for the racist contingent to vote the way they wouldn't |
|
admit to pollsters
that's what they say usually happens
I hope I'm wrong, but just about everybody I've heard says that if Ford doesn't have at least a five point lead across the board, he'll lose. they credit that to the closeted racists that confront any black candidate in the south
