Do DU'ers know that Kerry has now done a FORMAL APOLOGY read on CNN
by Blitzer?

I keep seeing "old threads about this...but Kerry was under tremendous pressure from the DLC Dems to to a Big Formal Apology and Blitzer read it on the air around 5:15, est. on November 1.

I wish he hadn't done that. He had to apologize for the "Simpleton" who occupies the Oval Office??????

Anyway...get over it. Kerry did a FORMAL APOLOGY. That's after he "begged airtime" on IMUS this morning.

I'm sick of Dem Apologies when no Repug or Bushite has apologized for ANYTHING...War Crimes of Torture and Invasion on Lies, Wall Street Crime, Election Crime, Crimes against our Environment and Humanity..Crimes and Crimes.

What WAS KERRY THINKING???? :wow:

here at work wanted him to apologize also, not because she thought he was wrong, but because a lot of people didn't understand what happened. The GOP suck.

8. I agree with you, partly.........
I am sick and tired of Dems being forced to apologize for comments that were misinterpreted.....

Durbin for the Nazi comment, Reid - I don't even remember what he supposedly said but I was pissed off that he apologized for it.

If the Dems win a majority in either the Congress or Senate next week, the first order of business needs to be breaking up these huge propaganda groups that are currently masquerading as the msm news!

And that he has great respect for the troops, despite the REPUBLICANS LYING ABOUT HIM.

John Kerry's Press Release: (link above)

"As a combat veteran, I want to make it clear to anyone in uniform and to their loved ones: my poorly stated joke at a rally was not about, and never intended to refer to any troop.

I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended.

It is clear the Republican Party would rather talk about anything but their failed security policy. I don’t want my verbal slip to be a diversion from the real issues. I will continue to fight for a change of course to provide real security for our country, and a winning strategy for our troops."

7. Bull. All headlines will say is "Kerry apologizes"
and Kerry knew that.

He also knew his actual words don't count. They don't.

9. Didn't he have a RIGHT to say what he said and not have MSM SPIN IT?
I'm sorry....but when he humbled himself over the IMUS THROWN this a.m. pleading with IMUS to forgive him..........it made me sick. I held off my "ANGST" post and toned down what I posted about the IMUS thing..figuring he would "Hang TOUGH!!"

Kerry CAVED IN ON US....and I know my feeling is NOT popular...but he CAVED after allowing himself to be "TARGETED ONCE AGAIN!!" I know my position is not popular...but somone has to say it.. And, I waited forever! I'm not looking to trash any Dem...but what is going on here? IMUS leads the Charge and the Troops come over the HILL after disguising themselves?

We need to ask what the HELL IS GOING ON HERE...No???

6. I am a kerry supporter but I wish he hadn't apologized.
I understand he apologized for the joke an it being misinterpreted. Now, all sorts of bullsh*t will be slung at him. I understand he was deserted by many of those he has helped raise money for and those he called his friends. To me this marks a low point for our party. I understand why Kerry was forced to do it, for fear he would be blamed for losses, but I have no respect for our party tonight.

Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 06:51 PM by KoKo01
that with all his education and family background he led us into a horrible Vietnam II by voting for Iraq War Resolution!

But..Whore Media/Repug Controlled Media took the Ball and Ran! Shouldn't Kerry have been more "clued into this" after being "Swiftboated?" Why the Imus Connection and why wait to do the Formal Apology? My hubby thinks Kerry has been "co-opted by Shadow Government!" Jaysus...what's the world coming to?

17. Tell your hubby about all the threads on DU demanding "Kerry should STFU
and apologize."

IF it is like that on DU, where people like their dems Loud Mouthed and Bush Bashing, imagine the pressure Kerry was getting in DC.

Imagine all the "Dem Strategists" in Washington pressuring Kerry -- you are not a team player, you must STFU and apologize, etc etc.

I'm not happy about it but you know that is probably what happened

done it and wonders why he pandered to IMUS. My hubby thinks IMUS is a BUSH TROLL...(he's more radical than me...and that's kind of funny!)

Kerry, apologized only to the troops. I don't feel he gave in. This won't matter for the Democrats.
