Hell, Gens. Clark, Batiste, and others have been talking these issues to death for years now. The media is reluctant to report on it, which is a real shame because they're honorable men who know exactly what they're talking about.

Jerry Springer wasn't just running a freakshow, his success was a bellweather for what brings in the audiences. What you must ask yourself, if you want to understand why national news coverage gets so damn skewed towards the ridiculous, is, "What is the foreign policy coverage equivalent of a semi-literate alcoholic cheating on his battered wife with a pair of gay midget lepers?"
