The Iraq War is not the generals' fault
At the end of the day they have to follow the orders of their civilian leadership and do business with the resources they have been given and the mandates they have been given. That's essential to democracy: civilian leadership of the military.

To blame them for the war's failure on the generals is just irresponsible and cowardly.

John Boehner owes them an apology.
