My gut tells me this Kerry attack will backfire on this administration
and the republican congress

Anyone who heard Kerry's speech, except for partisan hacks, knows that it wasn't a jab at the troops

In fact what it has done is focused on the mess this administration has got this country into

I feel that the independent vote sees right through this charade

The only thing we need to do is turnout to vote in large numbers, and WE WILL WIN

3. Well, Scarborough is saying that it will have no effect. Different
flavor of kool aid being drunk by the former freeper media. Folks, what we are seeing is the money looking for the next leader - and they have decided it is the dems, so they are doing their flip flops (halting, not consistent yet, clearly uncomfortable for them, but they are seeing the light)

4. It already has...they counted on him not apologizing and when he
did the wind went out of their wedge issue....it also points out that they are not serious about Iraq if they get distracted by someone making an attempt at a joke and botching it...

5. I don't think it has anything to do with the so-called appology
it has more to due with reality

9. Problem is alot of people haven't heard the whole thing.
I was talking to a few people at work to day, avid Democrats, who had not only not seen the jokes that led up to Kerry's blooper (to use Howard Dean's term) and the students reaction, they didn't know that Kerry had accidently left out the one word (us--as in get US stuck in Iraq) that would clarify the situation.

If these reasonably well-informed women did not know what Kerry had meant to say, I don't hold out much hope for the rest of the population.
