but I listen to radio. NPR in the morning and afternoon (a long-time habit; I scream at the radio daily, especially Morning Edition these days), AAR, and I like to scan the stations and rock out in the car. Anyhow, unfortunately, on a Clear Channel affiliate, the "big story" at high noon was Harold Ford demanding an apology. This, of all things, was their top story, not the death toll in Iraq, or anything of real substance. No surprise there. They framed this like the Dems are all divided and in chaos. I'm concerned, because the general public has such a short attention span. Perhaps the public got the "demand an apology" part, but doesn't have the follow-through for Ford's further explanation. And Clear Channel is EVERYWHERE.
Meanwhile, on NPR, Steve Inskeep and Renee Montagne did their usual juvenile gossip-and-titter routine which is supposed to pass for "news". They got all ecstatic about the supposed re visitation of the 2004 and the "feud" between * and Kerry. They even played the old Jib-Jab clip where the person impersonating Kerry calls * a "right-wing nut job".
