Bush to Pigboy: I'm doing great. I really am . . .
Interview with Limbaugh - November 1, 2006

BUSH: I'm doing great. I really am. You know, when you've been doing this as long as I have you feed off the crowds and feed off the enthusiasm and you like a contest, and we're in a really important contest, and so I'm doing fine. It's kind of like a reminder of how I got here in the first place, and that is: go campaign hard and tell people what's on your mind. That's what I'm doing.

doing great . . . really?

Military and civilian deaths in Iraq

Nov 1 (Reuters) - A U.S. soldier died on Tuesday in western Anbar province as result of injuries sustained from enemy action, the U.S. military said on Wednesday.

Earlier the U.S. military said that a U.S. Military Police service member died from small arms fire on Monday in east Baghdad.

At least 104 U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq in October, the biggest monthly total since January 2005 when 107 were killed.

Following are the latest figures for military deaths in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003:

U.S.-LED COALITION FORCES:

United States 2,817

Britain 120

Other nations 119

2. Yeah, posturing in front of hand-picked crowds who are
guaranteed to adore you is hard werk. (sic)

And how you got here in the first place, 'sir', is by cheating and stealing an election. So, posturing in front of cheaters and thieves obviously feeds your 'soul'.

3. Hey...if it makes him happy and COMPLACENT...who the hell cares?
I'm thinking about little sayings like "Pride goeth before a fall"...and "Those the gods would destroy they first make mad"...and "Too damn stupid to stand clear of the streetcars..." (old one)

No matter how hard we try to allow for it, stupidity is eventually self-correcting.
Trouble is, the longer the 'correction' is delayed, the more costly it becomes.

Wow...don't I sound philosophical? Are you oh-so-impressed? :silly:

5. Disgusting - the very fact that...
Bush appeared on Limbaugh's show AFTER Rush attacked Michael J Fox is a moral indictment in itself. That should make the front pages of the papers, not John Kerry's ill-delivered and poorly timed bad joke. It also shows how the Repuke base utterly supports their reich-wing cheerleaders, even after they spout their eliminationist rhetoric about the Left, the sick, the poor, etc.

Did anyone see the PBS special about Goebbels last night? It was eye opening to see the parallels between his use of propaganda and the new Reich's. Of course the Nazis were more blatantly evil. The new American fascism is more subtle and dare I say skillfully delivered.

6. It's more targeted and insulated
no need to mobilize all of the nation, just the functions which serve to enrich and perpetuate power. The rest of our government serves as cover for their domination schemes. Keep all of the social obligations wanting and provide unlimited resources for military and corporate welfare. David Stockman would be proud.
