Here's my last nervous-nellie post for this eletcion cycle. I promise.
I dunno-the thing I keep thinking about is how armies proverbially always fight the last war. We went into WWII all equipped to fight WWI all over again. We went into Vietnam all ready to fight WWII-style large-unit battles that never materialized. We went into Baghdad all primed to fight in jungles.

We're going into this election preparing to defend against all the shit they pulled last time. The thing is, with everyone watching the Diebold machines, and even with a few highly-publicized instances of machine vote-throwing problems, I don't think the problem will come from the machines. That's not what they'll pull. It will be something else. My bet is that it will be low-tech. Specifically, I think they may have already disenfranchised large numbers of Democratic voters in ways that we won't find out about until after the election. I thin all kinds of people are going to go to the polls and get turned away because they have been removed from the voter rolls. I expect that this will have been done very selectively in certain key Congressional districts--just the right ones for the Puggies to hang onto a razor-thin majority. I think that s why KKKarl is smiling.

I hope I'm nuts.

1. Purging voters isn't something new for the Republicans.
They did it in Florida in 2000.

In 2006, there new ID laws in states such as Ohio they can use to disenfranchise voters.

3. These degenerates smile and laugh while sending us to war...
Why wouldn't they smile when members of their own party go down in flames? Bush and Karl aren't being voted out this year... in fact they're lives are better than ever. They have no concern for their own. That's why they are smiling.

5. Why wouldn't they smile? I can think of a few reasons.
Lots of I-words, for example. Investigations. Impeachment. Indictments.

A Dem Congress with people like John Conyers and Dave Obey running key committees is not a pleasant prospect to contemplate if you're a Puggy who's been in the cookie jar a bit too much.

4. the GOP is still swiftboating John Kerry. pathetic.
at this point in the race, it's a sprint to the finish line--don't take your eyes off the course and don't get rattled, just run to win. the more energy you devote to KKKarl, the more he has.
