25. The fact is ...
As much as these freaks jumped around like a bunch of primates over this thing the last two days, the republican party has spent well over a year finding ways to blame the military for what is going on in Iraq ...

5. Can somebody explain to me why we have to hide all out
anti-Boehner comments here on this thread, but there wasn't one for all the anti-Kerry threads?

Why shouldn't we paper the front page with anti-Boehner stuff???

27. I am pretty much convinced that most of the criticism of good Dems here
is by a bunch of IVANS. They sure are earning their paychecks lately, too!

10. Boehner is the worst Representative left
now that Delay, et al. have left. Boehner betrays his constituents. He throws tidbits of bacon to his district and saves the honied ham for the big corporate supporters of the Republican party like Halliburton.

We all know why Boehner defended Bush, Rumsfeld and friends and criticized the real heroes on the ground in Iraq -- because Bush, Rumsfeld and friends control the Halliburton, etc. money bags. It's just a scam on the voters. Boehner is just hopeless. The voters in his district who vote for him election after election are fools. Unfortunately, the whole country gets stuck with the stupidity and corruption of Boehner and his ilk. C'mon, Oxford Ohio and environs -- you can do better than Boehner. Please -- for the rest of the country -- boot the guy out next Tuesday.

12. I demand that Republicans distance themselves from him
and cancel appearances with him. By not condeming him, they are condoning what he said.

He blames the troops and claims Rumsfeld and Bush are not responsible. That's apparently what Republicans stand for.

does NOT lie at the feet of Donald Rumsfeld.

What the fuck.

21. so exactly why is it the General's fault?
bush is the decider, he's the commander 'n chief, he's the leader, he's the boss of generals...

that boehner is blaming the generals is not surprising. bush has been doing it for months in his Presidential dolittle routine.. i.e. "I walk with the Generals, talk with the Generals, Grunt and squeak and squawk with the Generals, And they could squeak and squawk and speak and talk to me. "

Setting them up to take the blame when Iraq goes up in flames...

31. I think the question is, what do his comments indicate about the mentality of the
Republican Party, and their commitments to the troops.

And what level of apology will be enough?
