What's wrong with The Google?
All evening their top news story has been about Kerry and not a single section on Iraq. I know * mentioned The Google the other day. Call me paranoid but I think they are controlling the content.

1. Maybe it's all the damn KERRY threads here
Google ranks stories the way it ranks content, doesn't it? If it's spiders are seeing the Kerry crap posted a brazillion times, maybe they're thinking it's a really popular story. Maybe not, I really don't use the Google's news.

2. I don't think so...
Repukes go after pockets of voters that we might find insignificant, like evangelicals, skinheads, etc. But I don't think Google has the ability to instantly know what everyone on the internet is talking about. There is some human control behind it.

Second top story is "Venezuela, Guatemala Quit UN Race" I don't think it's because people are abuzz about it.

Sorry, I just don't trust any corporation.

3. You're probably right
As I said, I don't know anything about the Google's news service. I don't read 'em. Just guessing.

4. I'm focusing on Republican operatives tonight...
Got the tinfoil hat on and everything. It only takes one high paid Rethug to manipulate content in a few key new sources. If Google is monitoring the Internets I hope this individual's bosses look into this.

5. I just went to Google news and the top story was "concern for war top on
people's lists", yet next to it it had a picture of Kerry! :)

Actually, I think Google news is dictated by algoritm at least in large part. The stories with the most clicks move up.

7. I don't think 'Milford Daily News' is a ratings leader
That is the source of story number 2 in their top section and is named "Kerry's war 'joke' stings veterans." Okay, I know the title is enticing.

This is a hypothesis but I'm not ready to take the tinfoil hat off yet. First off there must at least be a human that categorize U.S., World, Business, Entertainment, etc., sections. There must be humans behind the scenes.

8. Boy, I dunno.
I mean, I'm not saying your wrong, but Google is a HIGH tech company. I wouldn't be suprised if they had AI's sorting out stories. They sure do a good job of arranging web pages in response to a search, based on the click patterns of previous users.

I once had a conversation with an AI I was convinced someone was behind occasionally inserting a smartass comment, but it was really a machine. I think this is it:

9. I am so sick of this too, btw.
I feel like screaming. Jesus. Its a sentence. A joke. not a policy. Policies kill people, jokes, even bad ones, or botched or tasteless ones, do not.
