The stupidity is spreading like the bird flu.

We have an Iraq war veteran running for Penna. state senator in my county. He lost most of one hand and one of his ears, and was badly burned when his vehicle was hit in Iraq by a suicide bomber. He's a Democrat, getting lots of Republican support in very red Lancaster County, PA.

Tonight, someone told me they'd talked to a former supporter who will now not vote for him because of Kerry's remarks.

I swear I don't know when Americans got this STUPID!

1. That sort will grab onto any excuse to avoid voting Dem
They're hopeless deadheads and exist on the fringes, not worth the worry.

12. They are NOT "deadheads!"
Although they may be 'braindead!' May I remind you that Deadheads are entirely very different sorts of people...

22. My dictionary says they are
There's a difference between "Deadheads" and "deadheads". I used the word correctly.

4. don't let them get away with it
When Joe Sixpack says some shit like that, we can't let it slide.

"Why don't you support the troops, Joe?"

"I don't see John Kerry on the ballot, Joe. What's the problem?"

"I never heard Sen. Kerry insult the troops, Joe, he was criticizing the president's bungled occupation."

"Do you believe everything you see on TV? Since when did Fox News ever tell you the whole story?"

I hope "someone" kept on the former supporter's case.

5. How stupid
Kerry fought for our country. Oh well, some will always be ignorant.

I asked several co-workers about Kerry's remarks and they knew nothing.

6. Kerry has that effect on many people,
That's why it's getting so much play! Looks like it worked at least once!

10. He makes people not make sense?
I did not know that.

The decision doesn't even make sense. Kerry dissed the troops in Iraq, so I'm not going to vote for an Iraqi vet because I'm pissed about what Kerry said about the troops. Why, because he believes Kerry when he says they're not too bright? Is that why he's not voting for a vet?

Non sequitor.

19. Anyway, Kerry's "bungled joke" was about being too stupid to be president
Not too stupid to fight in Iraq, too stupid to be president
and take us to Iraq. That's why all this "Kerry's comments
were unacceptable" stuff is bull. Leno has used the same
joke many times "Go to school or you might end up president
and start a failed war" and flubbed it once or twice,
making it sound like he meant "go to school or you might end up
fighting in a failed war".

in schools for decades. Only way for cannon fodder.
Tell them the answer is...so you hate the troops? Use the riech wing approach back at them. Kerry called the pres. stupid. Find the videos on * bragging on how he was a C student. Ask them if that is all they expect from thier kids. Do they reward their kids for getting C's and subtract from the reward for A's and B's? Do they want their kids to be alchohalics until they hit 40? That is what they are rewarding when the support Bush. Make it personal and be nice about it...it really will change their thinking.

20. You know, Kerry breathes.
If the guy had any guts, he'd stop breathing just to show how pissed he is at JK.
