So all the morning news is STILL about Kerry...even after the apology.
Let's get back to what is really happening that impacts Americans.

1. It's the only traction they've got, and we let them have it.
You're right. It is time to move on.

when you're going against a den of snakes.

3. It's going to be a full-court press on this up until Election Day
They got nothing, so they're going to take Kerry's comment and run it into the ground, and then it's going to be used afterwards as the explanation as to how the Republicans "amazingly" held onto Congress.

4. Kerry Apologized Now How About Bush
When Kerry makes a bad decision people get offended. When Bush makes a bad decision people die.

6. Meanwhile thousands die for a lie. MSM sure frames the
important issues for the corporations, well I mean for the people sure, yeah.

7. People seem to conspicuously avoid....
...the fact that even if Kerry meant it the way Republicans say he meant it, it's still true. The military is too often the only hope for the disadvantaged, which often equates to poor education. Does anybody actually dispute that fact?

8. While he was at it, he should have apologized to the troops for his vote to authorize this war...
Edited on Thu Nov-02-06 07:34 AM by Crankie Avalon
...and explained he was misled into voting for it by false information from the administration. An apology over something big like that might have overshadowed this silly flap over a flubbed joke and gotten the focus back on why we really got into Iraq and what on earth we are still doing over there.

10. They're not going to let go of it.
They have nothing else. Kerry gave them something they could use and use it they will. The image they fabricated of Kerry was that of an out of touch elitist. When he made that stupid remark all they had to do was go back to their anti Kerry playbook and pound the message home.

They were waiting for a nationally known and easily demonized Democrat to make a mistake. It could easily have been either of the Clintons, it could have been Gore, it could have been Dean--any of these people would have done as well as Kerry. In the end Kerry made the blooper.

As for the MSM they are reverting to what they do best--repeating Republican attack messages. My hope is that the American people will see through this and realize that this is a distraction.

11. Didn't someone say on Countdown last night
...that Kerry made a mistake apologizing late yesterday, because all he really succeeded in doing was extending the news cycle on this story by another day? Anyway, I'm not surprised it's still being talked about this morning.

I just wish they'd stop asking people like Snowjob for their opinions. Like we don't already know the answer. :eyes:
