Now, even Bechtel is bailing on Iraq. |
|
http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2006/11/01/BECHTEL.TMPNo company has done more construction in the Middle East than Bechtel. But they're not stupid. They've decided that the benefits don't outweigh the loss of 52 employees in a fruitless cause. If only our "CEO in Chief" with the Harvard MBA would figure this out.

4. That's a very good question |

one I hope the Dems take up when we regain control of Congress. I have a feeling they will begin hearings quickly investigating the defense contractors schemes during the Bush administration. GOP must be very afraid.

2. Bechtal has been around a long time with different administrations |
|
Bechtel has a long history of emergency response and restoration work, even in Kosovo. Nothing going to change much as far as American troops though until close to the '08 election. It's a shame that our leaders are making decisions on the based solely on political reasons and polls now.

3. The money must have dried up or they can't get any greater fools to replace the one's bailing out. |
|
These greedy blood-suckers don't care about disposable employees. only how much money they can squeeze out of them before they wise-up and run for their lives. Bechtel is known for "hire'em when you need'em fire'em when you don't", as well as being a major off-shore contractor at U.S. taxpayers expense.

6. It is the coming Congressional Investigations they fear..... |
|
.... time to cut ties, destroy as much evidence as possible, secret the cash they were paid, feign innocence, and plead ignorance.
Very similar to cashing out after a very good night playing poker. Gotta know when to take your money and go home.
