George Felix Allen blames assault on Jim Webb:
Edited on Thu Nov-02-06 09:20 AM by wicket
Va. Senator blames scuffle on Dem. foe

Sen. George Allen and Democrat Jim Webb entered the final week of their bitter and sometimes bizarre campaign with Allen refusing to denounce his supporters' manhandling of a liberal blogger and accusing Webb of provoking the incident. Polls show their race is close and could help determine whether the GOP retains its U.S. Senate majority.

Webb, campaigning in Richmond, said he knew nothing of the incident Tuesday in which men wearing blue Allen lapel stickers put University of Virginia law student W. Michael Stark in a choke hold and slammed him to the floor after an Allen rally at a Charlottesville hotel.

"It was typical of the Webb campaign, wanting to provoke an incident," Allen said Wednesday. He did not say why he believes the Webb campaign provoked the stunt.

Webb said he did not know Stark.

"I don't even know what happened yesterday. I don't even know this individual. But I certainly regret the conduct of certain people there yesterday," Webb said.

Video of the incident was shown often on cable news networks and circulated widely on the Internet, posing a late-campaign distraction for Allen just as he was trying to make his final push to the Nov. 7 election.

Unreal

The Dems have so much they can use against the republicans. I wish we were 1/4 as
"bad" as they are. Imagine what a field day Karl Rove could have if he worked against them!

4. "a late campaign distraction" brought on by
Allen himself. Allen has refused to answer questions about his past and for the most part the corporate whores have let him off the hook. So along comes Michael Stark determined to get in Allen's face by demanding some answers after a campaign event. And what does the dipshit do? Ignore him? No. Tell him "I'm not going to answer that"? No. Instead of behaving in a manner befitting a US Senator when confronted by an uncomfortable question from a constituent, he allows his brownshirts to tackle the guy, put him in a headlock, and slam his head onto the floor dangerously close to a plate glass window.

And now he's trying to shift the blame to Webb who had nothing to do with it.

Allen has a history of abuse. It must be awfully hard to watch from the sidelines, as I'm sure he's itching to join in the fray. At one time he had a baseball bat in his car with the words "n____r knocker" inscribed on it. Wonder where he's keeping it these days.

that he kept the bat in his car and used it to smash mailboxes. (She left out the inscription.) However, a fellow Palos Verdes High classmate (I was a classmate, too) says Felix loved to show off his bat out in the school parking lot and bragged that he and fellow members of a club they called the "Jesse James Posse" used it for other purposes as well.

the book - which contains a lot of anecdotes that characterize him as a violent bully - are that it's written from the perspective of the only girl in the family and shouldn't be taken seriously. So he's not only racist, but apparently sexist, too. The book came out just six years ago - in 2000 - and the media has been strictly hands-off.

If Clinton's younger brother had written such an unflattering portrait of him, there's no doubt the whores would have pushed it all the way to the top of the best seller lists and everyone would be talking about it.

13. This is a link to a reprint of an article that came out in
April in The New Republic. It goes into a lot of detail about Allen's unsavory past. Good reading if you have a few minutes.

http://community.livejournal.com/watchdog_va/83678.html

As to how Allen ever got elected, he is the son of a famous NFL coach and no one bothered to look very deeply into his life - until now. I think it was his presidential ambitions that drove people out of the woodwork to talk about what scum he is.

15. Thanks for that link
and that photo in your sig line. Haven't seen that before. It is sick as shit for a person with no Southern ancestry to play Confederate dress-up. (Doesn't say much for someone with the ancestry, either, but it's a little more understandable.)

That New Republic piece contains the second reference I've seen to Allen spitting tobacco juice so it just barely misses a woman's feet. (The other woman was a reporter; the spray was the only response he gave her.) This strongly suggests a well-practiced habit meant to express disdain for women, and erases any doubt that he spit on his wife - a claim that I didn't understand (spitting? why?) until I learned of his love for the chaw.

Could this guy get any more disgusting? I can hardly wait to find out. Looking forward to revelations about his financial misdoings...

the movie "Gods and Generals" which I haven't seen. Allen played a Confederate General (what else?) - and he and son posed in their movie garb for the photo I've been using for a while in my sig line. Son Forrest is named for slave-owning KKK founder General Nathan Bedford Forrest who was responsible for atrocities against black Union troops during the Civil War.

Allen is indeed a piece of work. By the way, the high school graffiti incident mentioned in the New Republic article was worse than what Allen would admit to. The graffiti he wrote was along the lines of "fuck whitey" "eat shit whitey" - intended to look like the work of kids from a predominently black rival school before a basketball playoff game just to stir up the racial pot. Allen had to apologize over the school PA and was suspended.

22. Yes, I caught that "Forrest" reference
I'm nowhere near as knowledgeable about the Civil War as my honey, but sometimes he will expound; I remember Forrest as one he summarized with, "Good general. But he seriously needed to be shot."

I think it was on Josh Marshall's site where I first read about that high school incident. There were links to sites where his old classmates discussed it in reference to his initial Senate run. And then he had the audacity to wear a Confederate flag pin in his senior pic, and try to write it off to his "love of Texas." Blecch. He can't go down hard enough or fast enough to suit me.

Thanks again!

5. Keep Talking Felix...
As a political "pundit" said recently, any incumbent who is on the defensive on election day loses. The Stark video, IMHO, is more damning than the Macaca one as it shows Allen walking away as his goons jump the guy. Allen shows no sign of calling off his dogs...and then accusing Stark of being a political operative. The video also puts into the media the question about Allen's divorce and missing police records...and by attacking Stark for asking a question most people weren't aware of before, they sure are now. Good going Felix.
