I just voted!
I love my country!

I love California!

I love absentee ballots!

I just feel so freaking AMERICAN right now, I could... just... pound my chest like a big ol' damned gorilla!

I love voting. God help me, I'm such a patriot. Sealing that envelope five minutes ago pert'near made me cry.

And don't NOBODY dare piss on my parade! Just ENJOY it with me, you beautiful commie pinko anarcho-socialist homo-loving bastards!

My country, 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.
Land where our fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims' pride,
From every mountainside let freedom ring!

My native country, thee,
Land of the noble free, thy name I love.
I love thy rocks and rills,
Thy woods and templed hills;
My heart with rapture thrills, like that above.

Let music swell the breeze,
And ring from all the trees sweet freedom's song.
Let mortal tongues awake;
Let all that breathe partake;
Let rocks their silence break, the sound prolong!

That's what it's all about, babes. Bitch, piss, moan, rake one another over the coals, day after day, week after week, year after year -- but this, babes, this is what it all comes down to.

I feel so AMERICAN today!

Let freedom ring!

5. But isn't it wild?
There are times you think you just can't face another day of this endless nightmare... and then you VOTE! The screaming, the phone banks, the countless hours slaving over just the right slogan for that bumper sticker ;) ... You come to a point where you know you've done everything you can, and then you partake in the greatest privilege any American can enjoy -- you VOTE.

And, for a moment, it's all OK. :)

4. Then you get the joy of anticipation...
...for a few days. I'm almost jealous. LOL

Do come back and pound your chest. It feels SO good. So very, very good. :)
