My prediction: Webb wins
in Virginia and Ford loses in Tennessee. The rest I am not sure about.

1. I think you may be right.
VA has been trending blue in several elections while TN still is pretty red.

3. From your lips to God's ears!
I just find it hard to believe that Virginians really want that doofus racist Allen to represent their great state!

4. That sounds right, Ford would have to have a miracle..
...to win, its a tough environment.

I think the Dems take MO too, and it's a fair shot at majority!!

6. Ok - that leaves Missouri.
Edited on Thu Nov-02-06 01:13 PM by DURHAM D
If the Dems lose Missouri - that means a 50-50 tie when counting Loserman as a Dem. Will he remain a Dem?

Or worse yet, if the Dems win Missouri (51-49 Dems) will Loserman switch parties (making the split again 50-50 with Dickhead as the tie breaker) for $$$ and whatever the Repugs offer him.

This potential mess clearly shows why the Dems have not been out in force against Loserman and why he has been treated with such deference.

Sadly, we will never know what difference a full-throated attack by the Dems could have meant in CT.

On Edit - If we could win AZ Loserman will go from being extremely important to nothin' at all.

7. My prediction
Having seen all the generic polls, I find it hard to believe republicans will win any of the close races except may be for TN.

Today there was another generic poll (NYT but I am not sure), showing democrats winning huge - they were winning even among evangelical by 1. Winning in all the regions, including the south, winning in districts that voted for Bush... It was a rout... Independents in this poll are breaking 2-1 in farove of democrats, as well as more than 10% of republicans... Having seen these polls, my prediction it will be a long night for republicans.

In the Senate - democrats win all the close races except TN (it will be close) and AZ (it will be much closer than expected).

In the House - democrats win at least 230 seats.

8. If Webb wins...
and we take PA, OH, and MT. Then we would need one seat to make it a 50/50 Senate. We would have the opportunity in MO, TN, and AZ to tie it up, assuming we lose no seats of our own. Hopefully there will be one big surprise on election day. :)
