Don't forget your local races!
The student paper at our local U just published my LTTE, bashing the living shit out of our dumbass wingnut state Assemblyman. Your small contribution, a few hours of your time or even a short LTTE can have a significant impact in a local/regional election, and the stakes are every bit as high (here in Wisconsin we're fighting for the survival of the UW system, which the wingnuts are desperate to defund and privatize). Fight them in every election!

1. I sent one in a few weeks ago on a local tax increase
which wasn't published as I believe the editor wants to stay on the good side of the local mayor and council who want a 1/4 cent sales tax increase for parks. On the upside I did get one published in a suburban paper on a nearby roadwork project (or as I call it Thrill Ride) by our Dept of Transportation.
