In Kansas, 9 former Republicans run as Democrats

I suppose in places like Kansas it doesn't mean much. Maybe in Kansas the only choice will ever be a DINO or a Republican. But when our party is 60% DINO, will *we* still have a majority? Yes, I know, John Conyers=Head-of-Judiciary-Committee.

But won't having an every burgeoning Republican wing of the Democratic party, one day just leave us with GOP vs GOP?

1. GOP vs DLC is GOP VS GOP FIRST we win the congress then we
roll the clock back on the BFEE war crimes. Then we purge the party

3. I mean, I'm all for it. But one thing that trips me up is how the purge is going to happen?
We need the DINOs to win. Then what? They vote with the Republicans 75% of the time. Next election comes round, we're terrified that if we vote for the real democrat (who will be called a left wing extremist, by some even on this board) we'll lose the seat to the republicans. Cable News will still be taking directives from GOP operatives, and fewer Americans will remember what it was like when we had some real journalism.

I seriously hope that John Conyers exposes the BFEE. But who will stand by him? Pelosi has already said there will be no impeachment proceedings. Doesn't JC need other Dem support to pull off this coup? I really think we may be setting ourselves up for failure.

6. First we win in 5 days. Then in the first 100 days we propose and pass the following measures.
1) Public financing of elections. The end to the corrupting influence of money
2) Paper ballots and hand counts. Transparent elections let the peoples voices be heard
3) Universal health care Just drop the age requirement for medicare.
4) Drop the "Free Trade" deals renegotiate "Fair Trade" with the intention of full employment at living wages for workers everywhere.
5) Repeal the illegal immoral illegitimate acts of the criminal cabal. That includes the bankruptcy fiasco and the drug giveaway to the pharmacy companies.
6) reconstitute and strengthen environmental laws.

Then to purge the party. well that is what the primaries are for. :))

7. Great. I agree 100%. But we'll never do it. So what's the real strategy.
I'm not being snarky. I really just don't know. ;)

2. Not true about it not meaning much
in Kansas and that we can only expect DINOS but I have fought this battle one too many times. Decide what you want.

4. Hey, I don't know much about politics in Kansas. I'm all for working
to get DINOs out of the region if we can get them out. I understand why some folks think this is a stepping stone. I just hope they're right. Sometimes I feel like I don't know where I'm stepping.

I hate it. I mean I am very left and the DINOs pain me but we are moving here here in Kansas to a more sensible stance. We do not really have a Republican party here either, they have become very RW bible thumpers so it makes sense they would move since they have no place in their party either. I find that many of the Republicans here don't have the slightest clue that most of what they want and stand for are certainly not Republican issues. One good indication is that twice our elected school board has challenged and won a fight over Evolution and twice we have been able to throw the bums out. Before nobody knew what these people stood for before they were voted on. Now the people have learned to find that out however it takes.

I am hoping for some surprises here next week. Keep your fingers crossed, we have been working overtime for years for this.

Edit for clarity I hope
