ROFL - GOP flyer mistakenly endorses Democrat
GOP flyer mistakenly endorses Democrat
11/2/2006, 4:24 p.m. CT
The Associated Press

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A loud "oh no" was voiced by Republican leaders Thursday as they realized that thousands of voters in heavily Republican Shelby County received a GOP flyer urging them to vote for a Democrat.

Republicans issued news releases and held a news conference Thursday to try to offset any damage by the mailed flyer from the Shelby County Republican Party.

It shows a sample ballot and marks the Republican candidate in every race except for Public Service Commission, where it endorses Democrat Susan Parker over Republican Perry Hooper Jr.

"This was a monumental mistake and is attributable entirely to human error," county GOP Chairman Matthew Fridy said in a statement. He said the county party is supporting the entire Republican slate.

8. Perhaps printing of the flyer was outsourced to the US media?
AP? Fox? CNN?

Just a guess

13. Things could have been worse.
They could have endorsed the Repug, but spoonerized his name.

"Don't forget -- vote for Harry Pooper!"

20. I thought fascists were supposed to keep the trains running on time.
In fact, such beauracratic efficiency is, I'm told, their one saving grace. We've got the most incompetent fascist party in history.
