In the late months of 1863 U S Grant took command of the |

Army of the Potomac. The officers left were largely the survivors of the Mcclelland/Pope/Hooker/Burnside armies - armies that repeatedly got beaten by Lee.
They began to move in the spring of 1864. Well, those officers were used to getting whipped by Lee. They would go to Grant and say things like ... Lee is going to do this and Lee is going to do that. Lee was going to do a back flip and end up in their rear. And Grant would say - I don't want to hear what Lee is going to do to us - WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO HIM.
And of course Grant won the war a few months later.
And for sure - Rove is NO Robert E Lee.
I think this strangely appropriate right now.
