Okay, what's up with this double life thing?
I'm just a little confused. How is it that there are so many Republicans in political life who are now being outed? Why now? Were there relationships really a secret to everyone in Washington? To the FBI or CIA? Or was it a weapon that the Left was squeamish about using against the Right before now?

I also want to know are right-wingers more prone to these double lives? And could it be because they're forced to hide their preferences because of the strict cannons of their political and religious beliefs?

4. Statistically--assuming the pop. is 10% gay--
There are 23 gay Republicans in the House and 5 or 6 in the Senate. I won't take their presence as anomalous until the numbers outed get far beyond those figures. The timing is probably not conspiracy but silent collaboration; a lot of people, who for whatever reason have it out for these individuals, have figured out this would be a very damaging time to strike.

I wouldn't doubt there are closeted gay Democrats, too. How many openly gay Democrats are in the house? Minus that from 20 and you have my estimate of those leading "double lives." I'm pretty sure no Senator is openly gay, so add 4 or 5 from there.

5. Why now?
I'm guessing this one is because Haggart's prostitute got pissed when Haggart dumped him for a Congressional page.

6. Republicans are more repressed
so naturally, require a "double" life to give an outlet to their instincts.

But why they're being outed right now?

Perhaps the real masters of the universe are seeing these fools as the liability they are, and are pulling the plug.

Maybe God is pissed that they've taken advantage of his good name, and is sending a little Biblical justice. :)
