TN-Sen: Ford Surges in New Poll
TN-Sen: BREAKING - Ford Surges in New Poll
by R o o k
Thu Nov 02, 2006

Internal poll numbers just in!! Harold Ford, Jr., is now leading by 6 points in the US Senate race in Tennessee!

According to the latest Hamilton Beattie poll (for the DSCC), Ford is ahead 46-40.

What this poll shows us:

Corker's scumbag tactics are scaring voters away... from himself. The backlash is real! Bob Corker is drowning in waves of bad press, and it is definitely taking a toll on Corker's popularity. Hamilton Beattie had Ford up by only 2 less than a week ago, but Corker's support is shrinking away.

2. I hope it's true, but I'd like to see some independent polls to back it up

4. I've seen numbers all over the place
One poll had Corker up in the early 50's and than them neck to neck. I'd go with this one though from what I've been seeing on other polls throughout this race.

5. Commissioned polls don't impress me much. They tend to be outliers.
Or in the Republicans' case, outrightliars. Still, this would be welcomed news coming from an independent source.

7. I find internal polls more reliable
if an internal pollster is wrong too often, they stop getting work. That said, I don't trust polls in the south where the Dem candidate is African American. Build in a 6-8 point racist lying factor.

9. Well...
there was no way he was down 8-10% like some polls showed. It's a tight race.
