I live in a house that was previously owned by a Freeper so I get all these GOP political mailers telling me about how evil the democrats are and how to vote.

However today I got one with the freepers name on it with a different message:

"IT'S A MORAL OUTRAGE, REPUBLICAN GREED AND CORRUPTION RAMPANT IN WASHINGTON"

It's got a cross on it and says "Faith and Family Values Report". It's put out by American Family Voices.

Quote: "Dr. James C. Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family and one of the most influential Christian conservatives, has publicly accused Republican leaders of betraying the social conservatives who helped elect them in 2004."

It has photos of Foley, Bob Ney and Duke Cunningham on it!

Here is their website: www.faithandfamilyvalues.org

Seems to me this could really hurt evangelical turn out!

4. I saw a woman on CNN before and she said they were very disappointed because ...
they didn't get the same-sex marriage amendment!

Will all the shit happening in this country and all the shit we stirred up around the world, THAT is her top priority???

:wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

Anyway, they're not happy - but for very different reasons than most people.

By the way, the woman I mentioned was still going to vote Republican. I guess stupidity beats anger every time. :eyes:

10. Unfortunately...
...there are some people in the Republican party who will endure ANYTHING, because
abortion and gay marriage are their primary concerns.

These people are very single minded. They tune out the war, the Fascism, the national
debt, the falling dollar, Katrina, civil liberties, etc. They hyper focus on abortion
and gay marriage and they support the candidate who claims to want to end abortion
and prevent gay marriage.

These stupid freaks are destroying this nation, and they'd better pull their heads
out of their asses and quit being so selfish. We all have issues that we care about.
We all have our little pet projects. But for Pete's sake--if we don't have a democracy,
or a pResident who cares about the nation--then nothing else matters.

It sounds like some of these mopes are waking up. They may not vote Dem. However, maybe
they will learn to stop being bamboozled by Fascist, unAmerican, sociopathic thugs.

11. They are single-minded
but many have other issues. I've had two such customers in my shop this week, one ranting about how "liberal" the supreme court is and another ranting about dems taking away guns.

I just ignore them...refuse to speak or acknowledge in any way what they are saying. These folks are the dregs on the bottom of the pool. We will never reach them, and waste our time trying. They are a small percentage of voters and we need to just write them off and not waste our energy or money on them.

My view is not to let them raise my blood pressure and just keep mute. I love seeing them speak only to hear their own voices, and quickly walk out when they get no response.

15. Don't write off gun owners...

Dems and the Gun Issue - Now What?

Dems have been doing much better among gun owners in '06, thanks to FINALLY dropping Feinstein's ban-nonhunting-guns crusade after '04. The ban-more-guns zealots do NOT represent the party at large, even though some of them would like to think so.

Sarah Brady is a Reagan Republican, and the president of the Brady Campaign is a repub.

6. Looking at the website, I think this may be people from our side
That website is not much of a website and doesn't say anything about the organization. It looks contrived.

Great Job guys!

8. Yep, looks like we're finally getting smart
on how to campaign.

13. Click on the top link in the OP and then go to the bottom of the page
It has this:

Call President Bush at 202.456.1414 and tell him that these aren’t our family values.

14. Glad to see the Flintstones & the Rubbles slowly catching up.
I'm so relieved to hear this. My fundie cousin gets a lot of her misinformation from these groups & her mind is impenetrable when it comes to "outside" information.
