Is their plan to concede the House, and steal to keep the Senate? |
|
That's what it's looking like to me, let the Democratic tidal wave in the House go ahead, and steal just enough to keep the Senate. Worth remembering that no matter how progressive a Democratic House may be, those bills still have to be passed in the Senate. Hell, it's a hard enough getting all the Democrats to vote against this repugnant legislation as it is.

They're in full combat mode. We should be gathering poll watchers and lawyers in states with close Senate races.

Let's say we win both Houses of Congress on Tuesday.
For two years, the White House will be able to blame everything on that damn Democratic Congress.
OTOH, if the Repubs retain the Senate, it will be harder for Bush to make the claim, and may actually improve our chances of taking the White House in '08.
And subpoena power for two years will be sweet - there's been a lot of testimony over the past 6 years that should have taken place under oath.
I look forward to finding out a whole lot about how Team Thug has really screwed this country - my guess is it's a lot worse than even we suspect.
