A thanks to Wiley 50
Wiley You are a courageous dude. You are in a similar position as I , you got a boat, and now you are taking pictures of Oaxaca, sending hope to everyone here. Showing us HOW to be courageous how to stand up against the beast of authoritarianism You are amazing.
I thank you Wiley, for showing all you see , telling the story blow by blow, not the shit-talk on the MSM, but through the eyes of a person who is poor, like me, among other people who are poor, who know solidarity, who remember to rely on one another and those relationships rather than the state.

Wiley, I wish I had 1 tenth of your tenacity ,courage , sanity and ingenuity, I wish I was there, typing away ,taking pictures, helping and learning how to feel my spirit fighting for myself, my community, my nation's survival, in the most sacred of moral senses... The lessons you are bringing to DU are priceless, valuable as diamonds diamonds of revolutionary spirit and community love, that can topple any tyrant.

The pictures of the just defiance of the people you sent here on DU, It bring tears to my eyes , And I cannot stop gazing at them reading their faces as they stare down the riot cops, and yell at them, and it dawned on me,why.. It is like an old fire is sparking to life inside me. It's a memory of my own defiance against corrupt authority, when I stared down the bullying staff in the mental hospital, when they locked us all down for one patient's stupidity. Some of the fellow patients were afraid they'd have to redo an entire school year. So to get the staff out of thier power trip I helped orchestrate a unit riot, so the 12th grade patients could graduate school. The riot, caused quite a ruckus, the cops were called,I told the cops WHY we were rioting, they understood us,and the cops got the staff to let them in school the next day.And they graduated. Sometimes you have to put your ass on the line if you want to see justice happen.

I see that same righteous anger at those who would crush the human spirit, it's in Oaxaca and now it's rising in myself.. Thanks Wiley..I Roar again.

Thank you Wiley, and please thank the people of Oaxaca for me, since you are there already, tell them what an inspiration they are, what courage and strength, all Americans who love freedom more than security and world domination can learn from them....Tell them that I admire them too. And I am rooting for them to win their country..As we should be doing but sadly are no longer in touch with the defiant spirit within.Enough to act as if freedom mattered like it does to the people of Oaxaca yet.. But one can hope..inspire..and someday, fight the good fight.and become free again.

Keep sending the stories and photos. They are like water of hope in a desert to a person dying of an oppressive thirst.
