I have some other info to share about this video. I saw it tonight for the second time (saw it when it came out in July) at a major University. The Dean of the School of Environmental Management had met Al Gore and spoke VERY HIGHLY of him and this film. He said he was VERY impressed with it.

He said he had never met a politician who was so eager and passionate about getting more information about environmental changes and climate change. He was talking about having met Al Gore back in the 70s and 80s and again in the 90s. The Dean, of course, is an environmental researcher himself, with a long history of environmental knowledge behind him - which is why he is Dean of this school.

This was an amazing endorsement of the film, IMO. Incredible.

bytheway, Triana was a satellite - the concept for which was initialized by Al Gore and further developed by NASA. The satellite was built, and ready to launch into orbit when bu$h took office but was scrapped, mothballed, and shut down - never launched. It would have collected data about the earth's atmosphere and ozone layer, etc. "Triana is designed to obtain daily global images of ozone, aerosols, water vapor, cloud cover, cloud height, and vegetation information."

Thus, my username here. Click on the link from the logo/sigline to learn more.
