Bush says Dems "already measuring drapes" for their offices in Congress ...
what an asshat!

snip...

The partisan audience cheered wildly several times during Bush’s speech, which featured comments that appealed to westerners. “Thanks for coming,” he said. “It’s nice to be in a part of the country where cowboy hats outnumber ties.

“Laura sends her best … we were raised in a place like this but the land was flat, but the people were warm. Down to earth, commonsense people.” Bush mentioned State Sen. Bill Raggio, R-Reno, Elko Mayor Mike Franzoia and Heller and Ensign, but he received his biggest applause when he mentioned the renowned Elko High School Band of Indians, which was in attendance: “You’re not skipping school are you?”

Noting the election was just five days away as of Thursday, Bush said Democrats who are optimistic the party will regain control of Congress are “already measuring drapes for their new offices. He referred to the optimism of Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, his opponent in the 2004 election, whom he said had made plans to move into the White House. “They didn’t need the movers,” he said, and urged Elko County residents to vote — and vote Republican. “We’ll hold the House and we’ll hold the Senate and America will be better off for it.”

8. I thought the term was "measuring FOR drapes"
So how come the press doesn't jump all over Georgie when he drops one word from a quip, like Senator Kerry did?
