I'll be on the front lines this Tuesday
I am a director for a polling center in the area, and I am entrusted with several pieces of key equipment to be set up Tuesday morning before the polls open. I will also break it down and take care of tapes and paperwork afterwards.

There are definitely a few levels of security in place to mitigate any potential for fraud.

I can say this - if fraud was to be committed, it would take a conspiracy.

And I ain't in it. :-)

1. Me too.

I'm also going to be a poll worker (first time for me). I'm kind of concerned about long lines with angry voters because they're going to have to show ID and then vote two large, double sided ballots. We also have early voting and vote by mail - so maybe it won't be a problem. I've got my fingers crossed, but I really don't know what to expect.

4. I never said I was hopeful or inspired
I have never made such a claim.

But I like to fight. I will not go gently into that good night.

We may be fucked. There will likely be fraud. Everything can go to hell and we can kiss our asses goodbye.

But if all that happens, I can say none of it was my fault. I am not in compliance.

If you don't care or want to give up - fine. But for those of us who want to scrap, we're gonna scrap. ;-)

But thanks!

What I am trying to do is reassure people that some of us are working very hard to prevent fraud - all politics IS local. :hi:
