As Nov 7th draws nearer, I am reminded of Bleever...
and Bleever's sig line,

"The wheels of the gods grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine." Old English Proverb

I think Bleever actually has quoted it properly giving credit to the person who said it but nonetheless I am reminded of this saying tonight after watching Hacking Democracy and waiting in anticpation and anxiety to see what next Tuesday holds.

I think it's true. I think that things swing back and forth in an ebb and flow and that this GOP Culture of Corruption just might come to an end; though I am not exactly sure what kind of an end.

I have a hunch that some justice may be comin'

We shall see...

1. As I am reminded, courtesy H2O Man, that it is Frederick Douglass Day.
Douglass said,
"Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."

– Two Speeches by Frederick Douglass; Frederick Douglass; Rochester; 1857.

So turn the wheels, and we are them.

:hi:

2. Big wheels keep on turning...
Thanks Bleever, nice to see you.

Douglass was brilliant and gifted. Interesting the connection between the limits of tyrants and the endurance of those oppressed - so true.

Have a blessed day Bleever.
