HAHA! Yet ANOTHER Dem pulls out in front! Idaho-1, (D) Grant pulls into the lead!

God, I can't believe this. It's happening everywhere. Dems are pulling ahead all over the place. New Hampshire, Ohio, Arizona, Wyoming, now... IDAHO! And what's great is that the GOP doesn't have a backup plan in these districts. They aren't prepared to unload GOTV shock troops to Idaho or Wyoming or New Hampshire. We've caught them completely unprepared!

(D) Bill Grant leads 38%-34% among likely voters, and the Dem governor candidate also leads (R) Butch Otter 41%-36%. What's important to note here is that Otter is fairly popular in his district, and whatever happens in the governor's race, Bill Sali, a firebrand conservative who pisses off his own colleagues, WILL NOT get as much of the vote as Otter. So if Otter loses, Sali loses, and if Otter wins, Sali may still lose. But there will be very few people voting straight Republican tickets come November in comparison, I think. I honestly think Sali may be weighing down Otter, and may be attracting a lot of independents, moderate Republicans and angry Democrats to jam the voting booths to keep him out of office.

House race, Idaho-1:
(D) Grant: 38%
(R) Sali: 34%

Governor's race:
(D) Brady: 41%
(R) Otter: 36%

In closing, thank God for Republican primary voters.

5. It's suspected that most of the undecided voters are Republicans, probably 55%-60%, and many may sit
it out altogether or vote for Grant. It's entirely possible. A previous poll showed a full 21% of Republicans pulling for Grant. I'm willing to bet that Grant could easily split the undecided, coupled with many not voting, and eek by with a 6-7% victory on election day.

7. Otter is GOP pro life
But he also got picked up on a DUI and won $500 in a tight jeans contest. He's a rich GOP party boy.

8. This really is pretty unbelievable. Dr. Dean was dead-on right.
Just think if we didn't have candidates in these areas...

Just think of all the areas we STILL aren't opposing in, that we could be...

17. If we win BIG, I think we should send Howard Dean mega-roses.
If it were not for his 50-state strategy (which he talked about, BTW, in 2004), we would not be in the great shape we are.

Rove = overrated "boy-penis"

9. This seat is something everyone (DNC and GOP) considered safer than safe
It's even more surprising (IMHO anyway) than WY-AL being a toss up because Barbara Cubin is a lunatic that makes Jean Schmitt look like Miss Manners, and was always at risk of losing if people got fed up enough. Salli is also a lunatic, but wasn't quite in Cubin's league.

This is amazing news!

16. hmmm... the 25% undecided voters
Remember this is Idaho, a very red state.
It either they are too embrassed to say they are voting for a Democrat or too embrassed to say they are voting for that right-wing nut case. To be honest, I'm have no clue what the majority of these undecideds are leaning to.

18. I think the GOP GOTV shock troops are in shock.
This Haggard revelation is going to suppress the GOP vote like nothing else. Their muscle are the church going-gay hating rubes. First Foley, now Haggard. GOTV for the Party closeteers, Wife beaters, girlfriend beaters, and all around corrupters? They probably know there are more surprises to come. I think this is going to be a big factor that will shave another 2-3% from the Republican tally.

which given the make up of the state are probably mostly republicans. Hopefully they will either vote democratic or not vote at all.
