After a day of whirlwind controversy surrounding new life church and its leader Ted Haggard, who went on administrative leave earlier Thursday, the acting Senior Pastor, Ross Parsley tells KKTV 11 News that Pastor Haggard has admitted to some of the indiscretions.

Possession of amphetamines (unless prescribed for something like attention-deficit disorder or narcolepsy) = illegal; the law has no authority to send someone to jail for past USE of amphetamines, though (or of any other drug), unless obtaining said drugs involved forging a prescription (which is a felony). Now if the police get a warrant, search his house, and find a baggie with meth residue, yeah, he could probably get jail time, but not otherwise (which is rather ridiculous anyway; our drug laws are painfully stupid).
