Randi Rhodes AAR reads Bev Harris the Riot Act - "Where were YOU?"
Here's a little MP3 gem for those that wonder why Harris didn't let anyone see the footage that could FIX the election, or anything else she was acquiring during that period. Randi went to the wall getting donations to Harris, THEN was wondering WHERE she WAS...

Randi asks about the Olbermann "problem" Bev Harris had, if you recall they were TRYING to get her on the show, they wanted that footage to spread far and wide, and were about the only ones that wanted the scoop..

She wasn't IN OHIO that's for sure, Randi wanted to know about ANDY, if he was still working for them..

WHY?

On Bev's site it said he was FIRED as he was returning from his sister's funeral. Harris DENIED it, or danced around it, IT was the first SHE'D heard of it.

Keep listening, because at the end Randi says something about, "If she's making a MOVIE with that money.." (I believe that someone else was making the movie but she WAS shilling for money for them on the DU at the same time.)

It's REALLY interesting to listen to, you can actually SEE the "deer in the headlights" Look while LISTENING :)

Just for historical perspective and since I had promised to find this on another thread, so here it is:

1. I always got the feeling that Bex was about Bev and not the
"altruistic" muckracker she was carefull to portray herself as...

It comes out now with almost no chance to do anyone any good except Bev Harris...

2. Good point
Here's something else to consider, the film, and I assume with her blessing ends up trashing Kerry when THEY HAD THE GOODS THEMSELVES.

If anyone recalls SHE wouldn't share the film or the info she had, saving it for the Blockbuster film about HER.

IF she had info like this and refused to share it with Kerry or Olbermann, then HOW was Kerry to know? And if he DID know what might he have done?

I don't like what he did, but with his millions he must have had a reason, he's no coward, but I know an opportunist when I see one :)

3. Fill in some gaps, if you can
Did anything happen with those Volusia tapes? I can't imagine someone throwing away poll tapes and NOTHING happening to them. Is there any explanation?

Arnebeck said Kerry knew about New Mexico and some Bush votes, but weren't there law suits in NM and weren't the machines impounded? If they've got an example of how opti-scans can be manipulated, what have they done with it in regards to NM? The memory card thing wasn't known in 2004, IIRC.

The documentary was a good introduction to the machine problems, but it's a long way from proving any election was stolen.

6. As far as I know and believe
these things were PROPS. I have no idea what she did with them.

If you want to know more about NM heddafoil is the one to ask, SHE has credibility.

There were PLENTY of others doing this work, I was one of them, we interviewed TONS of people for a film as well.

I noticed that Bev gave almost NO ONE ANY CREDIT in her little star corner.. even going so far as saying SHE ALONE spent the night or many hours FILLING OUT FOIA's, 3000 of them, all by her lonesome.. I REALLY wonder how possible that is. What about the Roxanne hacker? What about David Allen who is STILL working on this stuff? What ABOUT ALL the DU'rs WHO worked on this, basically supplying what went into that BOOK?

The list of credits is missing some VERY IMPORTANT PEOPLE... Generic Other for instance..

I would expect no less from Harris.

11. I know
I paid attention, even though I didn't comment too much on it.

It's probably not the best way to live life, but I have a tendency to grab on to certain things that piss me off and not forget them. When nothing happened after the tape film incident, and she had gotten everybody convinced she had proof of fraud, I was permanently pissed. Everything with Andy, and you too, just solidified my belief that she had other motives. I suppose heddafoil will be popping around tomorrow, correctin info, etc. I'll ask her then because I do want to have the facts.

Edited on Fri Nov-03-06 05:03 AM by kster
Actually believes, Bev Harris could have busted the 2004 election theft with a few sound bites, and a few bucks.

Nice try Randi, Your busted.

No way that one woman can take down a completely organized election theft organization on the spot, ain't gonna happen.

Randi, did you really believe that one woman would be able to take this crime family down, within days, weeks and or even months after the election?

COME ON, Randi it is you that failed us.

How anyone who is apparently a STONE COLD FAN, can say that Bev Harris COULDN'T Have 'found' the smoking gun and used it, when that's ALL SHE KEPT SAYING TO DEFRAUD PEOPLE HERE is beyond reason.

That's ALL HARRIS KEPT SAYING, the film suggested she KNEW, and THAT Is how she is represented herself in this FILM as well, one woman against the SYSTEM.

HOW DARE you say that Randi has EVER FAILED US?

This is either psyops or rampant self imposed stupidity to created disension here. And in either case it's not done very well. Are the bevbots being re-animated?

How about this for a question, if KERRY DIDN'T KNOW THIS, since Harris refused to let this info OUT, then isn't SHE responsible for HIM not fighting? She withheld EVIDENCE that may have given him what he needed to FIGHT THIS, and she ADVERTISED IT AS SUCH.

IN which case HOW DARE you TRASH KERRY on the other threads? By your own admissions and beliefs she COULD have helped him, answer please?

Looks to me like she owes RANDI AND KERRY, and the American people an APOLOGY for holding onto evidence for her own ends, to 'star' in a film MUCH LATER.

One more thing, Harris basically led Randi on a wild goose chase, Randi putting her ass on the line for MONEY FOR HARRIS, and then Harris has NO ANSWERS? Harris declared to the IRS nearly a MILLION DOLLARS in donations, and a LOT of it was from Randi putting out the word, and YOU say that Randi BLEW IT?

That one hell of a lot of nerve.

So CAN IT or explain it.

Jackson verses Blackwell (Keith Olbermann)

snip:

One final note here. I should clarify what I wrote in this space last night about Countdown’s interaction with Bev Harris of Black Box Voting. My staff is not certain that any of our messages to Ms. Harris inviting her on the show since the week of November 15 have specifically asked her for permission to play the videotapes of her work trying to audit the Florida vote. We think so, but I’ve got only three people booking all the guests on this program, and they each probably make about 100 calls a day.

Complicating our effort is the fact that even as we hoped to provide a platform to publicize and illuminate her efforts, Ms. Harris had returned none of the messages left on her own voicemail by Countdown staffers since she spoke to our staffers briefly, twice, during the week of November 8. Only today did she even get back in touch with us, and was so belligerent, threatening, and demanding, that we have chosen to withdraw our invitation to her to appear, or to have videotape of her efforts played, on Countdown.

Threats against myself or my staff will not be tolerated. We are not only busting our humps on the voting irregularities beat, but we remain the only mainstream news organization to continue to cover this vital story. These are my people — they are running professional risks I can’t begin to describe — and I will stand up for them, first, last, and always.

More than one kind of black box (Keith Olbermann)

NEW YORK - I’ve been avoiding this topic for four weeks now, but given what I understand are a lot of dropped jaws around the blogosphere, I think I better spill this.

I don’t think Bev Harris of Black Box Voting is doing anybody any favors.

I suggested as much tonight on Countdown and there were a lot of understandably surprised emails. Some profane, incidentally, which had previously been the exclusive province of those who notified me of their opposition to anybody covering anything about voting irregularities or especially Jesse Jackson’s F-Word.

Each and every day since our coverage of all this began on November 8, I have received a set of emails, some times a few, some times many, asking “Why don’t you have Bev Harris on Countdown?,” “Why don’t you run the Bev Harris videotapes?,” “Why don’t you show the voting tapes Bev Harris found discarded in the trash in Florida?”

Because she won’t let us.

I have not dealt with Ms. Harris directly, but my staff has, and though we have asked her on a regular basis to let us show these tapes on national television, she has declined.

We are running in risky waters as it is, offering a platform for tapes we can’t independently verify. But I have heretofore been convinced that she had credentials sufficient to make an interview segment with her both useful and reasonable.

My ample gut has lately sent me a different message, and her showdown with Palm Beach County Elections Supervisor Theresa LePore on Monday seemed to buttress my instinct. She burst into LePore’s retirement ceremony, her cameraman rolling tape as she did so, and she raced to the podium to announce to the shocked room full of supervisors that she was “serving” LePore with papers as part of her lawsuits over what she claims are LePore’s evasions in providing records of the 2004 vote.

The usefulness of that videotape to the immediate issue at hand - were there widespread failures of the electronic voting systems in this country on November 2nd, and if so, were those failures enabled by any malfeasance - has an expiration date. If they show irregularities, if they show public servants at their worst, even if they’re guerrilla-style political confrontations, they have a public value - an urgent one.

Have you seen them?

What Ms. Harris has left herself open to is a charge that as much as any interest she has in the justifiable public concern over our most precious right - the right to a reliable, honest election - she may also have an interest in making her own documentary, on her own schedule, for her own purposes.

What Ms. Harris has also left herself - and by extension anybody who is advocating investigation, or merely covering the story - open to, is the charge of grandstanding, of tin-foil hatting, of being somebody who bursts in to a room and screams at public officials, videotape running all the time, artificially creating news.

Me - I think that can be justified. Guerrilla politics - even guerrilla news - isn’t pretty, but it’s often necessary, as long as it’s news you’re interested in. It’s necessary, as long as you take advantage of the opportunity to disperse what news you’ve gathered, promptly and professionally, especially if that opportunity can serve the public good, and comes with relatively few strings attached (“can we see it first so we know what the hell we’re broadcasting?” - the same thing we ask anybody with news videotape not shot by an NBC or affiliated camera crew, whether they’ve recorded a hurricane or a cat nursing a puppy).

It has been pointed out that Bev Harris was scheduled to be on Countdown back on November 8 but her appearance was cancelled. I haven’t addressed this before, either. But we didn’t cancel on her - we wanted, on that first night raising this touchy subject nobody else had previously covered, to have more mainstream guests. And we wanted her back another night. And since then we’ve wanted her to come back with her video. And she hasn’t.

I don’t know her motivations and I don’t know her bona fides. But I’m afraid at this stage, intentionally or by the simplest of communication failures, she isn’t helping illuminate this issue. And every step that attracts heat but not light is another step towards discrediting the entire process.

17. I'm so sorry to hear that
my god how is it that so many loved ones leave this earth around you? I just realized why. It's because you have SO MANY that care about YOU and YOU care about so many :)

It's a tough job, some can't handle it, just remember that THEY had someone THERE for THEM when they most NEEDED it, YOU.

And you can be Proud of that, and let their love leap into your soul as they leave to change bodies for whatever we change into. There's a little bit of you in all those people and a little bit of them in you too.

I think that's how the universe finds it's balance. But it takes brave people like you to help it make sense. YOU are the reason it makes sense, because you share so much of yourself. That IS the Sense behind it.

I'm certainly proud to know you, I know that. :)

But I still am very very sorry for your loss, get some rest and take care of yourself for a change, okay? :)

22. hey, fly, s'man, et.al. --
Not a bible nut but there's one favorite story that's been popping into my head since last nights debut.

This part:

After feeding the five thousand, Jesus sends his disciples ahead of him in a boat to cross the Sea of Galilee. Several hours later in the night, the disciples encounter a storm. Jesus comes to them, walking on the water. This terrifies the disciples and they think they are seeing a ghost. Jesus tells them in verse 27, "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."

Peter replies, "Lord, if it's you, tell me to come to you on the water." So Jesus invites Peter to come. Peter gets out of the boat and begins walking on the water toward Jesus. But when Peter takes his eyes off Jesus and sees the wind and waves, he begins to sink. Peter cries out to the Lord and Jesus immediately reaches out his hand and catches Peter. As they climb into the boat together, the storm ceases.

That's what Andy did for me and so many, many others. He simply and graciously extended his hand to help. He said "Don't be afraid, just do it." We did. And there's no turning back now.

is our real enemy, the one we all need to conquer in our lives to move forward.. great post, appreciate it..

I always wanted to do a painting called "Jesus walks his dog" and have Jesus with his mutt on a leash, standing on water with the dog leaking on the side of a boat near them, but that's just me, all my art is whimsy, but gets me into trouble :)

12. Andy got to see it and loved it.
That made me very happy. :)

Mike Malloy was kind enough to plug my work a few times, so I made a DVD slideshow with creepy music (by Steve Roach) to send to him. I'm not happy with the limitations of DVD slideshows because I can only put on 99 photos (I have thrice that number of pix). I decided it might be better, if I want to do a live art show, to just use my iPod and plug it into a projector. I'd love to do a cybershow, but I want to be able to create a custom background, have the pix dissolve into each other, and add music (hopefully my own music after I can obtain a copy of Logic Pro or even Logic Express for Apple OS X - I play classical guitar and Brazilian percussion, but I want to use software synths to create an ambient mix, a la Brian Eno). I'd Like to do a coffee table book someday, and perhaps a limited giclee printing of enlarged versions.

Here's three new ones to help keep this thread bumped: :D

13. Flash will do all that
Download the free flash and use it for 30 days, I believe it will give you full use for that time period so that the flash you make will be full function, it's perfect for slideshow/music and easy to use for a purpose like that.. if you need any pointers just ask me, be glad to help you figure it out..

I'd do it FOR you, but I've got a deadline with my book and have to concentrate on that and little else, or we will DIE in the streets :)

We've spent so much fighting Bush that we're basically broke at this point.

But for YOU I'll make time so you can make the best goldern flash show in the universe. And BTW I know of a great relatively cheap Giclee place where I live, I can pass on their info to you too.. I had a video they handed out at one point, dunno if they still do that.

No, the WORLD needs to see this work. Hadn't seen the LIEberman one, cracked me up, and Rumsferatu still gives me the creeps each time :)

Harris is so exclusive that it boggles the mind to think she's working towards democracy for ALL.
