Coulter threatens no-show on CNN to avoid Sam Seder. He gets replaced. |
|
Edited on Fri Nov-03-06 04:18 AM by AJ9000
I listen to Sam Seder on Air America radio. He's the best debater of all the "progressive" talk show hosts IMHO.
He was supposed to debate Ann Coulter on CNN Thursday. When she found out he would be there, she threatened to back out. CNN promptly removed Seder and replaced him with a pseudo-liberal and friend of Coulters.
How about that liberal media.
The fact that they have a nut-bag like her on at all is telling when liberals like Chomsky can't get on.

I would love to call CNN out on the carpet for this, but I need to verify it first. Do you have anything you can provide?

8. They talked about it on Thurday's show at the beginning and |
|
later on when Duncan Black came on.
His story is that he was scheduled to appear with her, but she objected to his presence, so they called him and told him it was off. He was replaced by a friend of hers according to Black. Maybe she just objected instead of threatening a no-show, but that's the impression I got from Seder.
That was probably wise of "Ann." Seder would have grabbed Coulter by the balls.

6. Rethugs cannot win a fair fight, and the MSM doesn't want one. |
|
If there were still such a thing as the Fairness Doctrine, these deep-pocketed right-wing nutjobs could have never wormed their way into power. If liberals -- real ones -- were given even 20% of the air time the wingnuts consistently get, that would be too much truth for the Republicans to contend with.
No corrupt MSM, no GOP power.

13. Obviously 'Infotainment' at its finest |
|
Coulter with her 'aren't I outrageous' over-the-top attention whoring, gets ratings so fuck any real debate. The attention whore whines that she may not show if they have a real debate in which she gets her hairy ass handed to her, so they give her what she wants: a fake debate for a bad pundit who is so extreme that she should not be given air time at all.
...when (s)he really needs a strong kick in the pre-ops.
Who needs real debate when you can show a circus....

|
Edited on Fri Nov-03-06 11:00 AM by Democrat 4 Ever
Just another day in reichwing chickenshit chickenhawk world. Manny is afraid of real debate. Her shtick only works if she has unfettered access to spew her bile with no demand for her to back up the puke with honest discussion.
It is just a shame that CNN panders to her - that would be a good place for a news network if they could find someone with some honesty over there.

18. I don't think it's a RW/LW thing though as some here think |
|
It's a ratings thing.
More people will tune in and watch the rabid hate/lie-spewing circus that is Ann Coulter and her darling opinions than they would for some tame RW journalist/pundit against Seder...who most Americans don't recognize as a household name. She has more power to say who goes on and who doesn't not b/c of RW media dominance, but of the media whoring itself out to the higher ratings that she brings (and that she knows that she brings.)
I think that's the one thing LW pundits fail over RW pundits: public recognition. Love them or hate them, most Americans recognize the names Coulter, O'Reiley, and Limbaugh more so than they do Franken, Rhodes, and Chomsky.
The only exception that comes to mind is Micheal Moore.
Then again, I'm not big on pundits in general. I prefer honest journalists. I think of KO as a journalist first and a pundit only in the eyes of the biased.

There are plenty of things wrong with her that you can attack without having to make up claims that she's transgendered, as if there was something wrong with that.

22. Which CNN segment/hour was it? |
|
Actually, I'm glad I missed Coultergeist. My TVs haven't had a shoe thrown at them targeting that vile creature for a while now. But I'd tune in to see her with either Sam Seder or Rachel Maddow.
The producer should be taken to task for that one, IMO. Coultergeist should not be allowed to dictate who they have on or don't have on. If she chooses to back out, make sure the door hits her ass on the way out! "Just as a programming note, we invited the Coultergeist, but she ran away and hid when we refused to give in to her demands."

People need to stop looking at Ann Coulter, and maybe she'll go away. No one on earth could suggest she's a serious political expert. She's just a clown playing for idiots.

27. A County Jail Issued Jumpsuit Would Fit Her Just Fine.... |
|
... there is no reasonable explanation why she should not already have been charged, tried and convicted for making false statements under oath and wilfully voting in the wrong precinct.
She should be in jail --and the media that refuses to ask her questions about this tell us more about themselves than we might learn from her listening to her hate-filled poisonous drivel.
