Rumor - Lieberman worried over own internal poll numbers
Note - this is only rumor as this cannot be verified, but here it is:

There was a post on Kos from someone who has friends deep within Joe's strategy team. So, this guy received email from one of his friends saying "Joe is now well under double digits in our internal polling - it is only a bit more than the margin of error. We will still win but we are worried. Iraq is a bigger factor than we thought, including with the Independents and modreates in central and western CT.

let us win this one. i can't stand the thought of Lieberman getting back in there and claiming his win was a vote for his position in Iraq when it was rather despite it and more because he was an incumbant .

didn't Lamont close the polls and win the Primary within a short time ? hopefully the same happens here also.

4. yeah, but this is a General Election
I think CT is the wealthiest state in the union. And rich people tend to vote Republican. Or, in this case, phantom Republican.

5. I have been saying this for weeks... this one is a toss-up
Repugs are not exactly going to be motivated to get out and vote in CT. And then, vote for Joe?

This will be close and Lamont MAY pull-out a squeaker.

7. last night
Joe was a no-show at the last debate - Lamont did pretty good and schlesinger was so-so - might pull some pug votes from Loserman. both men were pretty good at hammering joey for not showing up
