Is the Ted Haggard sex scandal OUR "November Surprise" on the GOP?
This story is really sprouting legs. "Mr. Family Values" himself can't even talk about gay marriage if he himself has been sleeping with another man for three years.

Our candidates would be wise to exploit this...

1. It ws Mr Jones' November surprise.
I believe him when he says he came out with it because he could not stand the hypocrisy of a man campaigning against equal rights for all.

2. Rove's Worst Nightmare...
I had no clue how big this Charlatan was until yesterday, but the way this story is sprouting legs...dovetailed on the still-fresh Foley fiasco is Rove's worst nightmare. We saw with the Kerry non-story how desperate the GOOPs are to dominate the news cycle and this all but takes that out of Rove's hands. Even Drudge's little siren about "Iraq Nuke Plans found" got zero traction last night as it appears the Mighty Wurlitzer has to quickly change tune and is searching for the proper sheet music.

The timing is even more devestating as Rove is about to launch his "72 Hour" sweep...that will beging this weekend and is supposed to fill up those church busses and get that one or two percent that he thinks he needs to close up tight races. Now he's gotta play damage control as the relationship between Haggard and boooosh get lots of attention as well as try to dampen down the ugly memories of Foley and somehow not only energize the base but get 'em re-reved up. And he's all but out of bullets and miracles to pull this off.

Take a deep breath folks, we're gonna see a frantic White House and RNC on the loose this weekend...scare, scare, scare, blame, blame, blame. Be assured very soon we'll hear how this story was planted by some Democrat operative and pushed along by the "liberal media" (Mark Halperin did I get that right???).

Sorry asshats...again, as with every other scandal this election season, these wounds are self-inflicted and I, for one, can't wait to see those knives come out on Tuesday. There's gonna be a lot of angry Repugnicans looking for someone to take their frustrations out. When that happens... won't be sufficient...this will be:

Cheers...

4. Simply put:
Yes. This story is great for us, and great for defeating the anti gay marriage referendum in Colorado. Haggards connections to and influence in the repuke party is considerable. Revelations about his stunning hypocricy are also fortuitously timed. I only want to say, dems didn't orchestrate this surprise. We got lucky.
