Former White House spokesman warns oil prices may 'jack up' after election
RAW STORY
Published: Thursday November 2, 2006

A former White House spokesman warns that oil prices may be "jacked up" by the Saudis and U.S. oil company executives after the election, RAW STORY has learned.

In an op-ed published in Thursday's Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Democratic strategist Robert Weiner writes, "Enjoy the price of gasoline now, because when the Saudis lower production, we could go right back to the $3 nightmare of three months ago."

7. I don't think it will make much difference if it is Dems in or Repukes
in. They are only holding it down trying to help Bush and the republicans. After the election, Katy bar the door so to speak.

on people visiting families, driving here and there and having to go shopping ...

3. Gee . . . ya think?
The sheeple who vote for Republicans will be left picking their noses as they pump $3.00 a gallon gas.

5. Happy Holidays...
Now who woulda thunk it. Weren't we told that the oil companies never manipulate prices...the oil market is so global and the price can't be run up or down like an accordion. Now we saw in 2000, the price of oil run up just as the election season ramped up in a clear attempt to mess up the economy and blame Clinton and Gore for the problem. It also enabled scum like Lay and Enron to price gouge...with the windfalls finding their way into the booosh campaign. This run-up, IMHO started the economic slide that this country has yet to recover from. California residents I'm sure will trace a lot of that state's problems to those wonderful outages and brown-outs of 2000...and isn't it amazing how there haven't been any since.

This year, booosh thought he could buy the election and hide Iraq with the help of Bandar booosh and the Wall Street "pioneers". Gas prices are down $1.00 from what they were during peak summer driving season...just in time for the election and isn't it amazing how the market hit 12,000 just in time for boooosh to hit the campaign stump and all the GOOP candidates were glad to take credit.

Two of the biggest lies this campaign season is how many new jobs were created by this regime. Booosh always cites things since Fall, 2003...he sure won't compare growth back to the start of his regime...or dare to compare the growth in his years vs. that of Clinton.

I'm set to run to my broker on Wednesday and deliver one big sell order. The artificial run-up in stock prices will come crashing back to earth as the price of oil rises. Knowing this regime, their spite will manifest itself on seeing oil prices rise ABOVE what we saw earlier this year. In 2000, $2 a gallon gas would be considered a devestating increase...now people seem happy to see that level. The state is now set to raise the platform another notch...up to $3.50 or $4 a gallon, so $2.50 or $3 a gallon looks "reasonable". Maybe I'll keep those oil stocks afterall....until the Democratic majority passes a windfall profits tax.

6. I'M SHOCKED!!!
SHOCKED, I say! :eyes: What person with an IQ higher than that of the average Republican couldn't see this coming?

And I believe the IQ of the average Republican hovers somewhere around the freezing point: that's 32 degrees Fahrenheit, for all of you Republicans in the crowd. ;)

9. Bob Casey ...
I was at a rally last night ...

He was talkin about oil prices, and just off the cuff threw out the line "oh, btw, you probably are going to want to fill up on the 7th ..."
