DEFINITION of BULLSHIT: No Foley Ethics Report Before Election Day

No Foley ethics report before Election Day
Lack of report could leave voters wondering

WASHINGTON - The House ethics committee has been working hard to determine if Republicans covered up ex-Rep. Mark Foley's come-ons to former male pages, but even 12-hour work days won't bring conclusions by Election Day.

The lack of a report leaves voters to sort through conflicting Republican accounts in deciding whether GOP leaders failed to protect teenagers in their care.

Foley became overly friendly with male pages when they served as errand-runners for lawmakers and - after they left Congress - sent some of them inappropriate e-mails and lurid instant messages.

1. They can't cover US up
we don't need no stinkin' report to shine a
bright light on Republican hypocrisy and corruption

2. Can someone "leak" the details?
Its not as though it would do harm and Dems certainly shouldn't worry about the GOP doing the same to them. They should realize by now the GOP will always knife them in the back given any opportunity.

4. Be Patient...This Could Come In Handy Later
Thanks to the good Rev. Ted, Foley will be back on the front burner...almost all the way up to election day. The muck created by that scandal is still sticking to most candidates and I don't see how much more mileage we need out of this scandal at this time.

Should Democrats win on Tuesday, I expect the Foley situation to be expedited. The Repugnicans will want it out of the way and could become ground zero in what I expect to be some nasty blood-letting. The real milage left in Foley is exposing the corruption of the House leadership. There are still more shoes to drop and this could open up seats after the election...special elections as members are forced to resign and Democrats can actually gain seats before the '08 elections and keep this as an issue going into that campaign.

5. I wasn't exactly expecting them to shoot themselves in the foot
right before the election.
