MSNBC -Haggard met with Bush several times
Nora is hitting Lindsay Graham on this one. She asked him whether his well known links with Republicans on Capitol Hill and his access to Bush has any implications for the Fundie vote. They did not answer her question.

14. Just speculation...
he seems to be a little too holier than thou, those are usually the ones who have something to hide, plus he's always struck me as a little "odd".

8. This could be very, very good.
Haggardgate could be a major downer for fundie/christian conservative turnout on Tuesday.

THAT would be the final nail in the rethug coffin.

18. Nothing like those OZ papers
http://www.smh.com.au/news/world/bush-ally-quits-evangelical-post-in-gay-scandal/2006/11/03/1162340050165.html

<snip>
The case is likely to have wide ramifications, coming days before the congressional elections in which the Republicans hope to stave off defeat by getting their core supporters, including evangelical Christians, to vote.

This key group has been disillusioned in the wake of the scandal surrounding sexual emails sent by a former Republican congressman, Mark Foley, to young congressional pages.

Another scandal, involving a senior evangelical figure with ties to the White House, will not help.
