the conservative ranters tried three tacts:

-- Democrats have also been involved in scandals (Studds, Clinton, etc.)

-- Democrats leaked this information in an effort to sabotage Republicans this eleciton cycle.

-- Democrats might have their own page scandals, as soon as enough pages come forward.
