Someone on television said that most political analysts believe that the polling results by the Thursday in the week before an election usually indicate what is going to happen, because by then the trends have work3ed themselves out.

if that's true, anyone have any results of the most recent polling?

3. Prognosticators of The World Unite!
Now attach tape firmly over the mouth region, ensuring none of your guesses reach the public.

5. I do take it with grains of salt but....
Clear results one way or the other could at least given an idea of what might happen.

I'll admit that I'm grasping at any straws that will help relieve the stress of the suspense. This roller coaster gives me a stomach ache.

2. They ran down a bunch of them last night on the gabfests
Dems are increasing their leads in most races by a bit. I'm not sure those polls are the last word, though. In my canvassing, I see a lot of people still very undecided, mainly indies who have always voted Repuke. That's just one district, but it's an indication. As long as they stay undecided, that's a big plus for Dems. These people were always gimmes for the GOP.

4. I dunno, that paradigm was probably more accurate before the 24 hour news cycle
Who would have thought a closeted megachurch pastor from Colorado would lead the news this morning? And who would have thought MSNBC would be OBTUSE enough to have fucking ARMSTRONG WILLIAMS (yes, he of the quarter million dollar "bribe" to write nice things about NCLB; he of the $200K legal payoff to a man who was irritated because Armstrong kept begging him to sleep with him!!!) to discuss the "moral aspects" of the present race? Like he's an arbiter of morality?

I was, well, gobsmacked. I thought old Armstrong had gone off and hidden himself after that double-whammy. But he's baaaaack...in less time than NEWT, too!
