2. As I indicated earlier, you will no longer have to put up with my poor spelling and syntax.

3. I'd rather not speculate about that right now.
I'm focused on GOTV efforts and don't want to clutter my mind with such thoughts; would rather cross that bridge if and when we come to it. :hi:

4. I think that officially we are going to have more help from
people in high places than we have had in the past. Hopefully, those spines that Clinton and Kerry have been growing lately will spread to the rest of the Democratic caucus, the ones who are actually able to do something about it.

8. I hope so. I know we can count on Conyers and some others. But
I worry. I worry that ** will use the NG (what's left of it) to lock our cities down in case of protests. And I worry too many people who are even slightly aware that the fix was in will just shrug their shoulders in apathy or defeat.

16. Bobby Kennedy, Jr. and Mike Pappantonio, both lawyers as
well as talk show hosts (Ring of Fire), are heavily invested in the election fraud debacle. Bobby has written several articles on it. You can be sure anything the Pubs do that is questionable, they will be in the trenches fighting it.

There are others as well. I think most candidates are ready to challenge elections if the margin of winning is too narrow, if there were voter suppression tactics or any proof of ballot stuffing or vote flipping. This should be an interesting election. If the Pubs walk away with unchallenged wins, then I can honestly say our democracy is dead. This folks is the last battle.

14. But which side of the line ...
...will the MSM be on? Spin machine will repeat "Sore
losers" relentlessly regardless of who speaks up this
time. Will it be so outrageous that the MSM will have to
report the truth?

17. The MSM isn't our government. Many people don't believe them
anymore. We on our side are going to have to be vigilant for any mis-information put out on the air to keep people from the polls. They will try. Remember when Democrats went door to door in Louisiana on election day to get people out to vote back in 2002 because the media, especially Fox, had put out some erroneous messages about the election already being won by the Republican, so indicating that there was no reason for anyone else to go vote? This last ditch grass roots effort ended with the Democrat being elected. I forget the office in question. Sorry.

12. If they "win" again I'm willing to act, but if I don't see movement against the fraud angle
I'm just giving up and getting out of the country. Sorry, if the mainstream media remains complacent even after such obvious electoral fraud AND the public doesn't seem to care about it, then this country is not worth saving. Let 'em eat cake.

13. Well part of me is expecting this to happen and if it does...
That will be it for me at least I hope so. I hope I can disengage from politics completely because it will be come clear that one of two things is happening:

1) This country is so easily and completely manipulated that there really is no hope unless there is a catastrophe on the level of the great depression.

2) The vote really is corrupt and if they can manage to pull it off three times in a row without getting caught or without enough people caring that they are stealing elections then why bother getting all excited or energized about the voting.

I really am afraid that we will not win either house. Even if we do gain seats in the House and the Senate but do not get control we have lost. I must say considering the information that is available about how corrupt and evil these people are the fact that we are coming into the last weekend and things are this close and that people like Burns are gaining in the poles shows me that people in this country are quite happy in their ignorance.

BUT I AM HOPEFUL. I really hope that the independet vote makes the difference. I really hapte the independent voters MAKE UP YOUR MINDS FOR CHRIS SAKE!

18. if they win this one, it will constitute prima facie evidence of . . .
massive election fraud by the Republicans . . .

people all over the country want change, and they want it badly . . . the real vote this year will reflect the greatest Democratic landslide since LBJ ran the table in 1964 . . . if the results DON'T show that, it will mean that the fraudulent Republican actions are far greater in scope and effectiveness than our even worst fears would suggest . . .

personally, I don't think there's anything they can do to prevent a Democratic sweep . . . the margins will simply be too great, and the number of races won by Democrats to large, for their shenanigans to work this time . . .

21. Nothing.
Every election we say we're going to do something and then we don't. But I believe we're going to win this time. I have to because otherwise nothing will happen even though we all know they've been stealing the elections.

24. I'm holding my breath...
but somehow I can't believe that they're not going to take it away. Rove and boy george are too sure of themselves in their pronunciamentos. The disgusting sneering characterization by boy george that the democrats are "dancing around in the end zone, measuring for curtains" was a little too chilling. He was so certain he was going to be in Al Gore's house even after the Kerry race that I just knew that he knew the fix was in. And he's certain again. I don't think we saw a fair election in this country after 1976. When President Carter ate Gerry Ford's lunch the Reagan resurgence began. Now each election it seems as though it can't possibly last any longer and yet inevitably it does.

In fact it will continue even if the dems win both houses. For then both houses will be pretty much filled with people who voted for the war to cover their asses, who voted for Roberts and Alito, who went along with the right wing. There's not too many democratic incumbents who are worth their salt. Soon after the election they'll fall prey to the hypnotic effects of personal power, and they'll be too distracted and too fearful of losing it to mount an impeachment attempt. And if they don't, it doesn't matter.

Sorry for the pessimism.

29. Yeah, we kind of think we'd like this better than being indefinitely detained...
or prevented from leaving the country...or being afraid to open our mouths for fear of the first two.

My husband (63) and I (55) have been fighting the good fight since VietNam. He was Berry planned--so spent two years in the USAF--during the VietNam War. We have the ability to get the hell out, rather than live in fear or support the perversion that the US gov't has become.

Even if the Dems regain control of the Congress this Tuesday, what are they going to inherit? A GIANT mess: Iraq, the Middle East on the brink of World War, a nation split by haves and have-nots with a disappearing middle class, huge deficits, contempt from the rest of the world, a world on the edge from global warming and six years of do-nothing...on and on. We're both very afraid for the future of this country.
