Test Spits Out Wrong Results At Board Of Elections
A problem has been discovered with the optical scanner in connection with one race at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections Friday afternoon.

During a test using an optical scanner, officials discovered that the machine was providing incorrect election results for the race for the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.

BOE officials said this is just one race out of hundreds in which a problem has been found.

8. I know you're right, Johnnie....
They have been using optical scanners for years in Cuyahoga County...

They test them before each and every election...

Frankly, I am surprised only one race proved problematic...

6. Every Possible configuration of candidates is laid out and tested
ahead of time...

Since Common Pleas Judges are not listed as Democrat or Republican, I am sure that is where the problem lies...

The scanning always takes place ahead of time in order to make sure that the ballots are read correctly...

9. They're just dumb enough to rig the same county again: Cuyahoga County
Duh! Any 3rd grader knows to change tactics, or you'll be found out.

More than anything, it's their group stupidity that astounds.

10. Hit and miss for elections
Machinery is in question.

The problem may be as simple as identifying some scanners which may be too sensitive under certain conditions. Scanners which may be unreliable and need adjusting are then set aside and replaced, he said.

Is this crap even UL Listed? CE certified? Any schmuck who wants to market a product needs some independent 3rd party to evaluate its product. Apparently they don't have any official oversight.
