I believe we will take the senate. Only question is will it be 51-49 or 52-48. |
|
The size of our majority will depend on whether or not Ford can pull off a win in Tennessee. That's my opinion.
Get out the Vote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. I like that choice: good or better |
|
I'll go with better, but settle for good if that's how it works out.

2. Does your math include Lieberman switching parties? |
|
I can feel it in my bones.

5. My math assumes Lieberman will remain a Dem. |
|
For the purposes of THIS analysis only, I am considering the CT race a "non-factor"

7. If it's 51-49 and depends on Lieberman voting with Dems |
|
I, too, am very afraid. The repukes will promise him anything to switch, and then it's 50-50 with Cheney casting the deciding vote.
can we say Majority Leader Joe Lieberman(I).
I can't stand to think of it. But it's possible.

8. I don't think that is possible. Lieberman does not share the Republican Party's values. |

He won't switch over a disagreement on a botched foreign misadventure. No way.

9. Uh, I dunno, he is a nat's ass hair above Zell Miller to me |
|
I think he's gone. He MIGHT caucus with the Dems at first, but I feel like he might be coaxed. If Lamont somehow pulls the election out of his ass, I think Lieberman will be gone by January and will take a post with Bushco.
Just my two cents. No insider info here.

He wants to hang on to his seniority. He's not going to jump.

6. I know you won't like this, but most likely outcome means that scenario |

would result in 50-50 senate with Cheney being the tiebreaker.
I do not believe AT ALL that this will happen. Lieberman will caucus with Dems and therefore Dems will retain the majority.
