I shook Bill Clinton's hand today
He came to Milwaukee to rally the Democrats and support our Governor, Jim Doyle. I was one of the lucky ones who got to be onstage behind him. Actually the sound wasn't great since there were no speakers turned towards us, but I couldn't take my eyes off him. Older, slender, very distinguished. All the women around me were fussing about how wonderful his hands are. Anyway the speech was right on target, very intelligent and funny. Bless his heart for campaigning in 29 states. It must be exhausting.

It was very cool to see him in person. :patriot:

1. To this day, that is one of the highlights of my life
I met him in '92, and talked briefly with him. What an incredible leader.

5. Very good.
I'm glad President Clinton continues to campaign for our party and that you met him.

I once spoke to Gary Hart on CSPAN once. I exchanged mail with Walter Mondale too.

I also know the Democratic Candidate for congress in Nassau County NY.

8. Good for you! 29 states is pretty
good for a mid-term(albeit states are high)election.

I bet it Was cool to see him in person. I went to a Kerry rally in 2004 on Nov 2nd and never did get to see him(just hear him) because there were so many friggin people(15,000) there in Manchester, NH and the stage wasn't high enough!~

17. I always wanted to have him over for dinner..
I'd cook a huge feast, invite a handful of my friends, and cook Italian food.

What do you say, President Clinton?
